Siel Cruise Reverb.com sale - ARP Quartet Analog Synthesizer Sequential Circuits Fugue
Up for sale is one of the best Siel analog synths. Poly section serviced calibrated and cleaned works perfect, mono section serviced and has only issue with one mono preset not tuned correctly (picollo) you can hear it on the video example from 5:30.
Thanks for looking.
The Siel Cruise is a really interesting instrument. It helped Siel branch out of the Organ building business and into synthesizers. Besides the Sequential Circuits Fugue version, the Cruise’s two sections were also available as separate synthesizers from Siel—the Orchestra and the Mono. The Cruise’s Poly section, the Orchestra, was also released in the USA by ARP as the Quartet. So there is plenty of this synth to go around under various names and forms out there. It is quite capable of some really nice Mellotron-like strings, a fair good piano, though the single-oscillator driven Mono synth is a bit slim due to being a single oscillator, but still quite capable of decent bass and lead sounds.

"Monstera deliciosa plant play vintage 80's yamaha portasound pss-480 synth (with no built in sequencer) in real time with midi biodata sonification device. By attaching the two probes to the leaves of a plant the device measures and identifies the tiny electrical current fluctuations the plant generates. These galvanic fluctuations are turned into midi notes and controls that can be read by synthesizers which allows the plant to tell about its environment and the changes that are going on around it."
"The Erica Synths DB-01 Bassline synth is a monophonic synth and sequencer. Don't let the apparent simplicity of this instrument fool you - it has a fair few tricks up its sleeve."
Curious if paint brushes build up static. Don't want to damage any ICs on the inside.
"I was working on a track this weekend, and I noticed that my Squarp Pyramid was acting up. Some button press wouldn't register, others seem to flicker multiple times. Since most of use are staying home and washing a lot of things, I figured this would be a good time to open up the Pyramid and clean the contacts and pads."
"Für all die, denen derzeit die Decke auf den Kopf fällt - wenn Ihr nen einigermaßen nicht unflotten Rechner habt - probierts aus!
Modulare Musik ist fun!
Das Tutorial wurde im Januar aufgenommen - aber ich hatte erst jetzt Zeit, es zu schneiden und so (von wegen Party und so...)"

"For all those, who are currently falling on the ceiling - if you have a somewhat non-smart computer - try it!
Modular music is fun!
The tutorial was recorded in January - but it was only now that I had time to cut it and stuff (because of partying and stuff ...) "
"Roli Seaboard Block: New Cargo 4 editor and firmware for Shuttle Control greatly expands on integration and playability with MPE controllers.A new and one of a kind MPE arpeggiator feature lets you control each note in the arpeggio with completely independent 5D parameters per note while being internally clocked using the new tap tempo clock, you can even apply pitchbend to multiple notes in the arpeggio. Instant musical expression at your fingertips"
"Alea is a two voice semi-modular analog synthesizer with sine wave oscillators, waveshapers, low pass gates, LFOs and a stochastic shift register-based sequencer. These elements work together as a standalone patchable instrument that is capable of everything from generative melodies and morphing drones to psychoacoustic percussion and silky sub basslines to esoteric techno and much more. The sine wave oscillators have CV and FM inputs paired with attenuators for each input as well as a two different voltage controllable waveshapers per oscillator which affect the timbre of the oscillators - one type of waveshaper which adds harmonics to shape the sine into a soft triangle wave, and the other waveshaper folds and shapes the phase of the sine. The oscillators also have sine outputs for modulating each other, as well as a vca which can be opened via cv or gate signals for timbral cross-modulation between the two oscillators. The oscillators can be used as completely separate voices, or together with one voice acting as a primary oscillator and the other as a modulation oscillator. The two voices also have individual outputs. Each voice has a vactrol low pass gate with two inputs per LPG - one regular gate input which will provide sustain for the duration of the gate, and one input which coverts the gate to a trigger for faster percussive sounds with no sustain and only decay. The LPGs can also be patched so that they are held open to create drones, or patched for amplitude modulation via one of the oscillators or modulation sources. The Alea has two LFOs - a LFO with triangle and square wave outputs as well as a VCLFO with a triangle output. The Alea's sequencer is based around a four-stage shift register which is clocked by the VCLFO and collects data from one of the oscillators for probabilistic pattern generation. The shift register can also be clocked from external clock signals from other instruments. The shift register cycles through it's four stages as it collects on/off data on each clock pulse and creates different arrays of outcomes as it cycles. Once the Alea has been patched and knobs have been set - the shift register will continue to cycle through patterns and generate different numeric combinations of it's stages in unity or in abscense like a roll of the dice or a song of the birds.
Each Alea is composed from a high quality lead-free PCB manufactured in China, RoHS components, and an enclosure that is made from fine hardwood (African Sapele was used in the photos shown above - but other units will be made from other species of wood of equal quality). The wood is finished with boiled linseed oil and the enclosure is backed by a powder coated steel bottom piece.
All designing, prototyping, assembly, soldering, and woodworking is done in-house by Ouroboros Electronics in New Orleans, Louisiana. The Ouroboros Alea is now available to order for $600USD + $15 shipping within the US and production lead times around one week or less before shipment.
