Patch Notes: making a bassline from a rolled snare drum
TheEndorphines
"This is how you can creatively make a bass line from the snare drum roll with lowered noise decay.
P.S: GC is on the pipeline of coding to get fully working module."
Patch Notes: Emiliano Melis
FACTmagazine
"Emiliano Melis is a sound designer and composer based in NYC who combines analog and digital instruments to create a rich sound built with layers of melodies and rhythms.
On this episode of Patch Notes, Melis composes an evolving ambient track using a long stretched tape, plugged into a Strymon DECO saturator unit running a background texture. On top, he uses an Elektron Digitakt sampler and TASCAM Porta-05 four-track recorder to play tracks, patterns and sounds. This style of electronic composition is exploired on his new album, Tape and Polaroids, which is released on September 18 via Mother West.

Please no analog-digital discussion in the comments - it's really not an emulation of the classic Oberheim sound ;)"

"Although the voyage may have ended at the Moog factory, the journey continues on, as there as such lovely examples of the Voyager synthesizer still floating around. This is an Electric Blue Edition, sn EB0728, and although there a few small nicks in the finish, it is ready to set sail. Is that good for sailing metaphors? I hope so. Synth is tested, sounds and functions wonderfully, and will be lovingly packed. Includes Moog ATA Case w/ wheels and handle and 'Voyager' branded dust cover."

Dreadbox Typhon Meets Elektron Digitone
andy carter
"I borrowed a friends Elektron Digitone for a week and experimented with connecting the Typhon to it directly.
The Digitone has 4 midi tracks besides it's 4 internal FM engine based tracks, i wrote a simple midi pattern to trigger the Typhon.
They make a good pairing i think."
And a couple more of just the Dreadbox Typhon by andy carter including one of the interface:
Dreadbox Typhon - Tekkaz Test1

"Just a quick demo of my new Dreadbox Typhon. It's a cool little synth, sounds great, the fx,modulation, and sequencer are good fun to use and manipulate.
It's very hands-on, you can get lost tweaking it.
Will be really good for playing live with, jamming different presets and stuff."
Dreadbox Typhon - is the screen and slider interface a pain to use?
"I saw quite a lot of concerns about the screen and slider interface that the Typhon uses, so, as there is not a lot of these synths out in the wild at the moment i thought I'd try to make a video showing it being tweaked by a rather average user - me!
I think it's pretty simple to use, and is mostly one page that you scroll left and right through, though sometimes you have a second page, but that's not on many functions.
Anyway, hope this video is helpful! : )"
