Let's Play with AudioKit AR-909 & MixBox CS
video by Tim Webb
"AudioKit brings us a lovingly-crafted 909-inspired drum machine app! It some unique sound design which I make great use of in this Let's Play. I then stuff it into IK Multimedia's new MixBox CS for extra compression and grit, before jamming with AR-909 and Troublemaker.

THIS GUY TURNED A 1920's TYPEWRITER INTO A SYNTHESIZER
video by Most Random
Reminds me of the The 1953 Charlie Douglass "Laff Box"
Videos from the creator:
I Turned a 1920's Typewriter into a MIDI Controller
video by William Sun Petrus
"whenever a hammer contacts with the "live plate", it will send a signal to the arduino. The arduino recognises which hammer has been pressed and fires a signal into my PC via the cable, and into Ableton. Ableton sees some MIDI information and understands that it needs to trigger that specific sound. This song is composed of 17 difference sounds, played live for you, right here, right now. This typewriter is actually just a small part of a much bigger project, so there's still a lot more to come!"
[How To Play] 1920's Typewriter EDM MIDI Controller
video by William Sun Petrus
"The reaction on this mini project has been incredible - i'm surprised we hit the 100+ likes mark so quickly! As promised, here is the Ableton project file for you to play with! It's super simple and you can play this on any MIDI controller with buttons/keys on it. Rearrange the samples to fit your hands better, make a remix, perform a cover, build that thing you thought of a few years ago. There's a midi helper file inside the project with everything you need to know if you get stuck :)"

JSI Polymoog Resonator
via this auction
"JSI Polymoog Resonator desktop module.
It's essentially the resonator section from a Moog Polymoog.
Here's some info from the JSI website:
'Resonator is a Polymoog inspired formant filter that is intended to emulate static resonances that are typical for acoustic instruments. Its three non-overlapping bands have frequency, gain, and emphasis or resonance controls.
All three bands can be switched between Low pass, High pass, and two Band pass modes (Band pass 'notch').'"
JSI also makes the PROGUE, Moog Rogue & Prodigy desktop synth. This is the first post to feature the JSI Resonator. Curious if it's based on the JH Resonator.

Roland MSQ 100 MIDI Sequencer SN 473410
Trax Retrowave R-1
via this auction
"Very cool and I suppose somewhat rare analog mono synth. It’s built like a tank and has a nice selection of midi and/or CV control for standalone use or incorporating into a larger setup. I’d say it’s most similar to a Yamaha CS-5 with even more modulation options and without the hassle of vintage gear."
