How To Make FM Formant Growl Bass Sounds on Sonicware Liven XFM - Accessible Tutorial
video upload by ChrisLody ChrisLody
"I was planning a different tutorial today but after being asked if this was possible I got a bit obsessed with working it out last night so thanks to Dino Goldie for prompting me to make this video. I find pretty much all aspects of sound design interesting and I've always wondered how these FM bass sounds were synthesized so I'm glad I looked into it, the XFM is pretty good at them!
As I say in the video this is designed to be an accessible tutorial as the Liven series has attracted a few visually impaired users. Let me know if this was clear and easy to understand or I totally messed it up :)"

ARP 2600 filter magic! #shorts
video upload by O.Z. Hall
"#shorts ARP 2600 is played by a simple sequence (from the 3620 keyboard sequencer). The voice is VCO1 to VCF to VCA with Reverb. The VCF is modulated by VCO2 in low frequency mode. The magic happens when the output of the VCF is routed to the Filter Cutoff Frequency CV input.
The Digital Delay is provided by the Swiss Daisy DSP.
Note that the initial VCF cutoff frequency is a sensitive parameter. Also very sensitive is the VCO1 level in the VCF audio input mixer.
The behavior is different from the Type 1 filter to the Type 2 filter. Both work, but they behave a little differently."
Restoring a Polivoks Synthesizer | Tutorial
video upload by Under the Big Tree
"I was lucky enough to find a legendary Soviet synth of the 1980's on Craigslist: A Polivoks synthesizer.
The synth was working intermittently, but needed a deep cleaning to get it back to looking and sounding its best. This video documents that process, showing how to assemble and disassemble the instrument, check the power supply for proper voltages, and so forth. It ends with footage of playing this quirky and wonderful synth."
