The sample pack contains single samples and stems played with the YOCTO. Each sample is recorded with different tone, decay and release settings, processed through the Valley People Dyna-Mite ™ compressor or recorded on a Telefunken M15A tape recorder. In addition there are also 192 unprocessed single samples and 23 beats / patterns (with stems) recorded using extreme compressor settings.

"One of my favorite songs from the 70s.
Like usual it`s a cover and not original at all. It`s my interpretation of this song. Not a exact copy! When you will hear the original song than click on the original song.

I used the Roland M-VS1 Vintage Synth module and the E-MU Emax for the choir sounds.
For the Rhodes Mk1 sound and acoustic piano sound I used my Yamaha Reface CP incl. the internal effect section. Very important is the phaser effect. You can see the settings on the video picture. Played with the Oberheim Xk keyboard controller. The BD is the Linndrum triggered with a Simmons pad."

"Ho-Ho-Ho! This is Synthmas '21, the virtual calendar presenting a Christmas carol played by synthesizers - every day from 1st to 24th of December.

The song:
The lyrics by German orphanage founder Johannes Daniel Falk are combined with an italian folk song creating one of the best known German Christmas carols. The text has a Christian background.

The gear:
Once more I choose the Casio CZ-5000 for this job. I found the organ patch in the depths of the internet. It was posted by a chap called Mike Cripps in a newsgroup (the elder among us may remember) and is dated 1989. Since I couldn't get the CZ-5000 receiving patch files via sysex, I programmed the patch by hand. The pipe organ sound becomes way more convincing by adding a suitable reverb (Zoom MS70 CDR, 'Church Hall')
