Secret Santa Live Lo-Fi Hardware Jam for Josh Zimmerman

video upload by SynthAddict

"Live lo-fi Hardware Jam for Josh Zimmerman (similar to his lo-fi jam style).

Made with OP-1 and RC-505.
This was take 3 and I had mo more time to try another one.
I hope you enjoy it Josh. :-)
It was fun to make, very lo-fi and loose."

Driving a second synth with the DB-01

video upload by Richard DeHove

"The DB-01 is usually stuck in the bass realm, but simply driving a second synth by MIDI can add an entirely new feel to a bass sequence. Here the DB-01 is driving a Vermona PerFourMer MkII. The DB-01 is going through a Boss RV-6 reverb, the PerFourMer through the Erica Synths Zen Delay (which seems to suit it so well). The second DB-01 makes a tiny cameo appearance with an effect sound. No other effects or processing than what you see.
Although the DB-01 is very happy driving other synths via MIDI or CV, it is surprisingly unhappy driving a second DB-01. Not only could I not get one DB-01 to drive the other, using CV seemed to somehow corrupt the pitch and I had to do a complete unit reset.

How to Replace the Battery in the KORG Polysix with a Battery Holder + Repair Minor Trace Damage!

video upload by Vintage Synthesizer Solutions

"Please join us while we repair some minor trace damage on the CPU board of this Korg Polysix and install a coin cell battery socket. This Polysix had minor acid damage, but it can often be much worse. This repair needed to be done, so thorough repair so that if you do have a rough board, you'll have the ability to repair it.

Old Crow has another fantastic step by step guide to assist you here: http://www.oldcrows.net/~oldcrow/synt...

If you don't want to take the risk of attempting to repair the CPU board yourself, you can buy a modern clone version here that is very well made: https://synthronics.de/klm-367a-repla..."
