"Dennis from Between Machines introduced us to 2 prototype sequencers that will be appearing in the future.

First we met Qlocker, an algorithmic sequencer, with tempo, swing and 5 outputs giving multiplied or divided clocks which is great for generating rhythms on the fly. Next we saw Keeper, with 8 outs and 4 ins, SD card storage and direct connection to Ableton Push allowing for grid-based sequencing without a computer.

The smooth and spectacular transition from a sound (patch) to another, is improving a lot the expressiveness of sequencer's melody.

The sequencer itself is top notch: 16 parameters that can be step sequenced, resulting in a #sequence that is similar to a modular system.

The patches you hear are from the upcoming set of ambient patches for #SequentialPRO3.

A little bit of EQ on the low end (the filter is not closing enough, even with some DC setting), but all the effects are internal.

The Disting EX offers a dual mode which turns the module into 2 Distings which can be controlled separately. Using the module in dual mode allows you to build complex and powerful combinations to get just about any eurorack job done.

The disting EX is a multifunction Eurorack module, building on the rich legacy of the previous disting incarnations, which can operate as:
-two souped-up disting mk4s, or as
-a single powerful module in its own right.

Fully DC-coupled, all inputs and outputs can be CVs or audio, depending on the selected function. The functions on offer include audio processing (filters, delays etc.), CV processing and generation (quantizers, pattern generators etc.), oscillators (VCOs, LFOs etc.), and sample playback.

Brand new features for the disting EX include an eight voice polyphonic sample (WAV) player, a powerful stereo tape delay (based on our own Augustus Loop), and a dedicated WAV recorder mode.

When acting as two disting mk4s, the disting EX offers these advantages:
-Higher sample rate (96kHz)
-Much more RAM (so all delays, reverbs etc. can be much longer)
-Lower latency when triggering samples (now 700µs)
And of course, an OLED display.
