Is the Behringer 2600 Eurorack compatible? Let's find out...

video upload by EdEditz

"Doing some measurements with the scope to see how high in voltage the oscillator outputs and the filter outputs are to see if they will work with a eurorack setup. It's possible if well attenuated but watch the video to see how high the voltages can get.

MEASURING THE B-2600 AR/ADSR SPEED with an oscilloscope.

"I've always been curious at the speed of the ADSR and the AR on the Behringer 2600 so I connected my oscilloscope to it and took some measurements. I start with the Voltage Processors, then the S&H Clock Pulse and the Noise output and from there to the Envelope Generators. I made a video of it because I thought other people might be interested in this information. I hope you don't fall asleep by the sound of my voice but you have to take the rough with the smooth LOL. Enjoy!!"

SOMA Synths Terra - First Look at the Production Unit & Factory Tour

video upload by sonicstate

"We were invited to visit Soma Sound Machines at their Warsaw factory and while we were there were shown the pre production model of the Terra - the unique and very sensitive instrument . Terra features twelve extremely sensitive nodes (cant think of what else to call them!) for playing pitches, plus five for modifying the timbre, there are also 7 modifier knobs which globally effect the sound with two being dependent on the algorithm used.

Despite the wooden case, Terra is a digital sound source and has multiple models which are played rather like instruments, each model has 64 variations. As usual, its a rather off the wall concept, but thats what makes Soma the way it is. In practice, its incredibly sensitive and flexible - reminds us of the Eagan Matrix instruments found in the Haken Continuum or the Osmose.

The Terra will be in production very soon and making its way into the stores."

You can find additional Terra posts here.

VISIT: SOMA Sound Machines Factory in Warsaw

video upload by sonicstate

"A couple of weeks back we were invited to visit the Soma Sound Machines factory in Warsaw, Poland. As well as a look at the first production models of the expressive Terra instrument, we got a look around their place.
PCBs and components are delivered here, the Through Hole hand soldered components are put onto the boards, any SMD (surface mount design) parts are sent off to the machine, units are tested put into the cases and shipped to distributors and customers. Lyra 8 , Kosmos, Pulsar-23 and Ether are made here and pretty soon the new Terra will be too.

Its actually a pretty cottage style industry, surprisingly small but also very efficient."

Strange Moog Source Trick

video upload by Bata

"The Moog Source is a great sounding but very limited synth so here's a little trick to get some extra playability out of certain sounds. It's possible this is just an issue with my unit but I suspect most Sources work this way."

Access Virus TI - Space Sounds [SOUNDSET]

video upload by Mr. Card

"My private collection of space sounds dedicated to Access Virus TI & TI2. I've always loved spacious and 3D sound. Access Virus TI allows you to produce many spatial sounds. I really Access Virus TI for its functionality and sound. The soundset complements my few presets for the free genius Valhalla Supermassive reverb. With this soundset, you can take your instrument to the next level. Check out my soundset: https://bit.ly/virusspace"

Scrotum Lab - Yamaha DD-8 Circuit bending

video uploads by batchas

"Voltage controlled Yamaha DD-8.
Percussions sounds & rhythm by DD-8.

DD-8 is clocking my Scrotum Lab's "Mini-System" where Grilles, Le Seq and Tresses are active.
Grilles is clocked by DD-8. Le Seq is synched to Grilles. Tresses is triggered by Grilles.
Le Seq sequence is sent to the CV input I added on the DD-8.
Tresses is playing the Bells algorithm.
Mini-System is sent to effects."

Synthwave Astrophotography Adventures

video upload by Jeremy Parker

"My love of astrophotography and synthesizers has combined forces once again in my latest collection of images put to music. This journey through the cosmos represents almost 60 individual processed images/videos, each of which may be comprised of hundreds of exposures! The sounds were from the Arturia Polybrute, Korg OPSIX / OPSIX native VST, Korg miniKORG 700fs VST and Addictive Drums II.

Much of the imaging was done at my favorite dark sky site, the Pemigewasset Overlook in Lincoln, NH. But many of the long total exposure deep-space images came from home under my light pollution with the astro camera and filters. I listed some of the dorky details below:

Scope: StellarVue SV102T, SFFX1 flattener, Gerd Neumann CTU, MoonLite NiteCrawler
Mount: Explore Scientific PMC-Eight G11, Spring-loaded OPWB on DEC, O-Vision Worm on RA
Cameras: QHY600 & QHYCFW3-L w/Chroma LRGB & 3nm Ha/OIII/SII, Nikon D5300 H-alpha mod, Nikon Z6, GoPro Hero8 Black
Lenses: Nikon Z 14-24mm f/2.8, Sigma 135mm f/1.8 DG HSM Art
Guiding & Alignment: StellarVue F50 GuideScope & ZWO ASI290MM Mini Guide Cam, QHY Polemaster
Computer & Software: Surface Pro Windows 10, ASCOM POTH, CdC, PHD2, SGP, Backyard Nikon

Sequential Prophet X | A masterpiece, but very underrated

video upload by Espen Kraft

"With 2 sample instruments (engines), 2 extra synth oscillators and analog SSM-style filters & amps, the Prophet X has a lot going for it. I was looking for one keyboard to rule them all. All my custom samples inside. Works great!
As I have to have a sample engine (instrument) to be able to gather most of the sounds I need for alive gig, some synths like the Oberheim OB-X8, 3rd Wave or similar wouldn't be the right choice. I thought about the Waldorf Quantum, but it doesn't have the easy of use and I really dislike touch screen setups, the same way I dislike smartphones and iPads. For the same reason. I want buttons and knobs, also when programming."

Poly Mod strings sound with Sequential Trigon-6 (no talking)

"I used the great Soundtower Sequential Trigon-6 editor when recording the material - https://bit.ly/trigon-6editor

No EQ. No compression. Only internal effects. Pure sound.

Enjoy! :)"
