G-Sonique KFXT-41 Techno Kick drum processor VST plug-in effect
video upload by G-Sonique
Kick drum is the most basic element / building skeleton of every techno track. From minimal techno to Berlin, Detroit, Schranz, Hardcore Techno or mainstream techno - kicks are important in every subgenre and creates the character of the track.
Thanks to the KFXT-41 Techno Kick processor plugin, you can create fat, dense, intense kickdrums from simple kicks (e.g. 808 / 909 or basic env.pitch modulated sinus samples), including their processing - with spatial reverberation, maximum density at bass frequencies, resonance and percussiveness, saturation and full volume. Instant techno kick rumble generator. Fast and easy.
You no longer have to worry about finding a suitable combination of samples, choosing and tuning dozens of external plug-in effects to achieve a real techno kick drum. In the KFXT-41 plug-in you will find: Saturation and bass boost analog unit for maximally fat bass and sub-bass, Analog kick resonators - 2x for highlighting the centers / percussiveness / ringing of the mid-range frequencies of the kick drum. In the plug-in you will also find a special analog sine saturator as well as a monoizer because the bass and sub-bass frequencies must be mono to eliminate problems on large sound systems in clubs and festivals.
In addition to the mentioned processors, the plug-in also contains a tuned techno reverb whose ambient component can be filtered with 9 different filters, including filters that emulate the sound of filters from hardware dsp chip-based synthesizers with a very organic, liquid sound and sharp acid resonance.
The plug-in also includes a collection of 35 diverse presets, which, however, can sound different and different depending on the input signal / used kickdrum sample. (we recommend tuning individually for each sample)
You an experimentally use this plug-in also in other genres like ambient, ebm, experimental, and also with techno percussions not just kick drums.
TOP FEATURES:
- Kick saturation engine with Bass frequency, Q, Saturation, Saturation volume, Kick enhance parameters
- Kick analog resonators 2x, with resonance frequency and resonance amount parameters
- Analog sine saturators – Analog sine input and analog sine shaper parameters
- Monoizer from 100% stereo to 100% mono
- Kick Techno reverb with filtered ambient output – Reverb room, Damp, Width, Mix, Cutoff, Resonance parameters and 8 filters : Low Pass, High Pass, Band Pass, Peakiing, HW DSP Low pass, HW DSP Band Pass, HW DSP High Pass, Vintage Low Pass, LP+HP)

Shakmat Banshee Reach: Demo
video upload by Shakmat
"Murmuring, singing, screaming, and howling, the Banshee Reach delivers a very large panel of sounds. The mo- dule’s heart is based on a triangle core VCO with thru zero frequency/phase modulation capabilities. Besides delivering independently the typical analog waveforms, the Banshee Reach has a vari output combining a continuously variable waveform crossfading with a sub octave generator.
The analog core has been completed with a digital control for frequency locking and octave transposition, which makes the Banshee Reach really per- formance oriented. LFO mode, hard or soft sync, digital noise modulation and PWM complete this rich feature list. Compact and powerful, the Banshee Reach is a VCO suited for west coast, east coast synthesis and many more!"
GLITCHING WITH MICROCOSM
video upload by Perplex On
"First run with the #microcosm for glitching the drums coming from #drumcomputer. Background pad coming from the wonderful #isometra plug-in for decentsampler. The microcosm is controlled by a few LFO sending various midi cc values to control parameters like mix/activity/timing on the microcosm on top of live tweaking its knobs. Besides, random midi program changes switch between the different glitch presets on the microcosm."

SOLTON PROGRAMMER 24 / SOLTON PROJECT 100
video upload by Vintage Audio Institute Italia
"Italo Disco Machines?
Not false - but these two hotties offer a bit more than that.
Launched around the same time in the mid-80s, none of them caused much stir but at least the Programmer 24 was exported widely and they pop up on the market even in the US.
Overrun by sleeker Japanese machines, most Solton units probably seemed a bit dated at the moment of their release but re-adjusting the rearview mirror a bit we think they sound pretty great.
The Solton Programmer 24 is the obvious song writing tool:
It's a drum machine, bass line generator, chord generator and arpeggiator with an added string and organ section and a filter for the arpeggiator.
A very simple thing, almost a toy, but it's fun as hell and adding some effects to the sounds it gets interesting. For effects we're using the Schulte Compact Phasing, the low-budget, digital delay unit Vermona DEG-50 and the oddball, even lower-budget, mini-rack, multi-effect LEM FX22."

"This is a 1979 Remco Sound FX Machine. The unit has seen almost no use and is fully functioning and in excellent cosmetic condition. All knobs, switches and buttons are smooth and the unit sounds as it should (which is loud and ridiculous!)"

Pittsburgh Modular Taiga [Sounds Only Demo] |No Talking|
video upload by
"Audio + Video by G-Storm Electro c. 2023
The anticipated new Pittsburgh Modular Taiga synth just rolled in the door. I knew I was going to be messing with it all day, so I figured may as well film it and share some curated noise with you. Patched some bass sounds and one clip making weird sound effects. Sounds really good, looking forward to using it in some new tracks.
This video was not sponsored by Pittsburgh Modular, nor Cre8audio. Paid for this unit with my own money. After all, I'm just another synth enthusiast just like you :D
A small amount of delay coming from Behringer DD400 for stereo widening only. Otherwise recorded direct to Tascam DR-05, no additional mastering or effects."

Oberheim OB-8 – Custom Sounds & Factory Presets-use
video upload by Andy Whitmore
"Oberheim OB-8 – Custom Sounds & Factory Presets
The Oberheim OB-8 is a subtractive analog synthesizer launched by Oberheim in early 1983 and discontinued in 1985. As the fourth product in the OB-series of polyphonic compact synthesizers, the OB-8 was the successor to the OB-Xa. The number of production was about 3,000 units.
The OB-8 features eight-voice polyphony, two-part multi-timbrality, a 61-note processor-controlled piano keyboard, sophisticated programmable LFO and envelope modulation, two-pole and four-pole filters, arpeggiator, external cassette storage, MIDI capability and 120 memory patches, 24 bi-timbral patches, and used the Z80 CPU. The musician's interface also consists of two pages of front panel programmable controls, left panel performance controls and a set of foot pedals and switches."
Pinging the ARP 2500
video upload by zack dagoba
"This is a self playing patch on the ARP 2500. There are no envelopes used in this patch - it uses a gate from one of the S&H sections to "ping" the Resonant Multimode Filter - a very cool feature that gives a really nice, organic sounding tone, that can be pitched however you want. Its like having an extra voice to make use of. This patch also uses frequency modulations to vary the timbre in an evolving way. Video shot on a vintage Sony DSR500 camera"
