"Fully serviced and recapped by our in-house technician. Originally designed for educational and home use so it is light and portable and even has a built-in amplifier and speaker. It’s a genuine Moog synth that is equally as obscure as useful these days. And its rather simple looking front-panel layout hides the uniquely flexible, powerful and great sounding little beast it truly is!

-Replaced ALL electrolytic caps
-Disassembled and cleaned all faders/lubricated
-Cleaned all switches
-Cleaned all pots
-Resoldered female end of connectors (pcb side)
-Cleaned all pins on connectors (wire side)
-Removed and cleaned buss bar
-Cleaned all the keybeds j-wires
-Cleaned all calibration pots
-Replaced faulty operational amplifier IC and transistor in noise generator
-Rewired right hand side cabling harness between upper and lower sections
-Cleaned panel and knobs
-Cleaned key bed assembly and lower panel

-Tuned and calibrated the entire synthesizer according to specs in service manual
-Reseated rubber gromets on front panel

-Burn-in and bench tested for several hours"

Roland SH101-SH32 loop jam, analogue vs digital synthesisers in the forest. A hedgehop video remix

"Dragged out the SH32 again, this time I looped it to make use of different sounds and it's drum samples. Got a bit stuck in a groove in the windy hollow and after a failed attempt at recording a live overdub, I decided to layer the drums and bass to beef up the sound a bit.
The video overdub is from the Draca Caves in Mallorca 17th July 2023.

"Roland's first ever synth was the SH-1000 and they've added around 20 to that line since then, including the SH-4d that came out just a few months ago.

I've played most of them and one always stood out as my favourite having borrowed one some years ago. Unfortunately they're very rare and hard to find, but after a lucky encounter I managed to finally get one.
