Generate MIDI with Physics in BounceBud for iOS

via http://keybudapp.com/bouncebud

"BounceBud is a generative MIDI sequencer app with a real physics engine underneath.

- It has 4 customizable keyboards on each side. When a ball collides with a keyboard, the keyboard plays that note.

- Each keyboard also has their own MIDI outputs, so you can control multiple audio apps per keyboard.

- All keyboards share the same key/scale that you can change on the settings menu or with BrainBud.

Customise the Keyboards

You can change the octave range, velocity range and MIDI in/out channels of the keyboards on the settings menu.

You can also specify the individual notes per keyboard, so you can create arps or even play single notes.

You can shoot walls with MIDI input for introducing more generative randomness to the playground.

By assigning MIDI input channels, you can shoot walls per keyboard individually.

Control the Playground

Ball physics behavior could be changed on the settings menu.

You can toggle the collision between balls and create completely different kind of sequences.

The ball count, speed and size can be changed on the bottom toolbar.

Speed and size also has a variety option for introducing randomness that could be changed in the settings menu.

BounceBud also has colorful themes for the balls as well.

Take advantage of the AUv3 Plugin

BounceBud app runs as standalone app as well as AUv3 MIDI Plugin.

You can create AU presets and use AU parameters of the AUv3 plugin.

You can control or even automate every AU parameter of BounceBud.

You can modulate the parameters or change the patterns with PatternBud."

Elka Sidekick with MIDI - uniPulse Demo

video upload by Tubbutec

"Elka Sidekick midified with our uniPulse.
https://tubbutec.de/uniPulse
Instruments are fully velocity sensitive (you can hear that later in the video).
Bassdrum is without velocity, but there is an additional bassdrum sound that does have velocity."

video upload by Vulture Culture

"Matt was kind enough to show me Vanilla, the brand-new Modular Synthesizer which pays tribute to some of the greatest vintage synthesizers of all time. Of all of the synths I heard at Knobcon this one was the juiciest with the smoothest resonance."

Beat Breakdown with Nate Wood on the KORG drumlogue

video upload by Korg

"Nate Wood takes us through a beat breakdown of how he composed, 'Guru Model,' & demonstrates his masterful use of the New KORG Drumlogue and the fantastic features it offers to enhance his creative process.

Nate harnessed the full potential of the Drumlogue by utilizing all 64 steps, the randomizer to introduce certain notes at specific intervals, giving the piece an ever-changing and dynamic feel, & its built-in nano synth voice adding a unique and powerful bass layer to Nate's composition that serves as the backbone of the song. Mixing standard drum machine sounds with captivating synth sounds, he effortlessly brings in and out different elements, creating a mesmerizing musical tapestry."

A Eurorack Mixer that eats big euroracks for lunch. This is XER MIXA - from Noise Engineering

video upload by Rochefsky

"Get to know Xer Mixa - a Eurorack Mixer Module from @NoiseEngineering - This video describes and demonstrates the basics. Consider this module seriously - especially if you have loads of Eurorack Modular voices and you often find yourself limiting how many you use, or sending signals to multiple small sub-mixers first. The workflow with Xer Mixa has changed my whole workflow into a creative one where I can re-mix 16 mono voices into unlimited combinations. AND Great for performance (not that I've performed for anyone but my family and friends ;)

This first patch only covers the basics - showing 16 voices and one stereo effects return (barely - in the jam at the end). For the big rack #eurorack #modularsynth enthusiast, you'll find inspiration in this module... #eurorackmodular #modular #synth

Chapters in this video:
0:00 - Intro
0:22 - Basics
1:00 - Controls
1:52 - hear each voice
6:30 - ALL voices
7:00 - DROP & JAM

Please comment with questions, ideas and constructive feedback :)

Clank Thererec 2-channel eurorack cv motion recorder

video upload by John Schussler

Announcement post with pic here.

"There are quite a few cv recorders available in eurorack, including a few that use motion or pressure to indicate gestures. Clank has now released Thererec, which uses proximity sensors to sense your finger motions, and coupled that with recording functionality to loop your gestures.

The name is derived from its inspiration, the theremin, bonded to a recorder.

Where it gets more interesting is in the ability to change the range and speed of the looped gestures, plus a reset jack for syncing to a clock.

Source audio is a Befaco Pony VCO.
