AMSynths, makers of various Roland clone modules is coming out with a complete desktop synth based on the Roland System 101, named the DIODE-01. Some info and pics follow.
"NEW SYNTH ALERT: Here is the aluminium panel for the AMSynths DIODE-01 analog synthesizer. It is an accurate replica of the Roland System 101 with its diode ladder filter, combined with the extra features of the 102 (Ring Mod, S&H). The prototype will be ready in October. What do you think?"
"Full of warmth and fat sound here as all the sounds pass through the RF transistor mixer ! Bassline is 2 oscillators from dpvco into mixer and then into SH VCF ! There are a lot of modulations into attack and decay using Lucky Voltages.
The hats are noise through the 12 db multi vcf and then into vca with decay control .
Kick and snare are separate analog modules also mixed through the transistor mixer.
Sequencer used is the Beatstep pro ."
This is a patch from scratch video with the Phase Driven Sequencers from the Phasors collection by HetrickCV. This whole collection is unique, and works differently than traditional sequences that work with clock signals. There's a lot to experiment with, that's for sure. What do you think about using phasors instead of clocks? Did you get the chance to experiment with this collection?
"In this video, we're going to show you how to get around in SuperPlate, where to find certain controls and share a few tips to take you a little deeper. Though the interface is fairly intuitive, there are a few not-so-obvious things, so let us show you around!"
This Synth features the VCS3 OSC1-3,Filter,Envelope,Ring Modulator,Input channels,Meter and Joystick with the addition of the Synthi 100 Dual Random Voltage Generator,Multimode Filter,,Envelope Shaper and Octave Filter Bank.Housed in a VCS3 cabinet all module input and outputs brough out to 3.5mm jack sockets to interface with modulars or other VCS3/Synthi's
"I was curious to see the 'oscillator drawing' function of the Roland S-1 on an oscilloscope display, and so are you. :-)
