Vintage Crumar Orchestrator SN 00076

"Rare Crumar Orchestrator-2, a vintage Italian synthesizer. This analog synth is in working order but definitely needs to be serviced. There are obvious things like sliders being broken off, but it turns on and makes noise and the effects work. This was supposed to be a project and never got finished, so now it can be someone else's who will finally finish the job. If you are willing and excited to get your hands dirty (or just want to get some vintage gear affordably and pay someone to do it) then this is for you."

"Just a quick demo of my Maxikorg synth that I'm offering on EBAY."
via this auction
Pics of the inside below. Also some scans of the manual.
"As for functionality, I have tested all of the knobs and sliders and everything seems to work with the following exceptions;
1. When the the Lower Voice wave shape knob is set to pulse wave and the Lower Voice "foot" control is in the 8' position, there is no sound from that oscillator. (The other oscillator on the lower voice still works).
2. The 3 position switch that controls the Upper Voice Vibrato is always on no matter what position the switch is in but the Vibrato sliders (Speed and Depth) still function normally.
Please note that you may find something else that is not quite right going on with this synth but considering it's age, I would say that over all it is functioning pretty well.
The synth has never been recapped and being almost 50 years old it is probably due for a complete capacitor change. This will undoubtedly fix the minor problems it currently has."

Description (Google translated):

One of the most basic modules of a modular synth is the Slew Limiter. Eurorack's most popular module, Make noise Maths, also has this slew limiter function.
I have also created modules with Slew limter functionality, but since I have never created a Slew limiter itself, I decided to create one.
Product specifications
Eurorack standard 3U 6HP size
Power supply: 15mA (+12V), 15mA (-12V)
Dual Slew Limiter with two types of functions.
Priority is given to low price and fewer parts.
top of module
Slew Limiter allows you to select the slew rate range from three types.
Select 3 types of range with the toggle switch.
L range: Assumed to be used for slow CV such as LFO
M range: Assuming the use of pitch CV portamento
S range: Assumes the use of an audio frequency low-pass filter
Control the slew rate with Pot.
Supports bipolar input.
Since the accuracy of the output voltage with respect to the input voltage is high, it can be used for V/oct pitch CV.
module bottom
Slew Limiter allows you to set Rise and Fall slew rates individually.
It is assumed that ASR envelope generator will be used.
Supports bipolar input.
Due to the circuit, the accuracy of the output voltage with respect to the input voltage is low. The use of V/oct pitch CV is not assumed.
Vermona Perfourmer MKII, Moog Mother-32, Digitakt | transcend
video upload by patchesinblue
"Hi! Hope you're doing well. I'm back with a jam and this time I have the Cirkon 2 doing most of the sequencing. I received the Cirklon sometime last year after a 4+ year wait but couldn't find the time to fully dive into it. Reviving an old composition (3 mother-32's at the time) and adding a few more voices seemed an exciting way to kick the tires on the Cirklon and revise the original piece. Both the Cirklon and Digitakt are running in their song modes, respectively. Everything is sequenced from the Cirklon, except the Digitakt. I've strayed into musical territory that I usually shy away from (and don't fully understand) but I enjoyed it nonetheless and I hope you enjoying listening too."

Korg PS-3300 + Antonus Step Brother live jam demo improvisation "Pendulum Bridge"
video upload by wutierson
"Here is the second video of a series with the wonderfully enormous (in all aspects) Korg PS-3300 playing with Antonus instruments. This Korg PS-3300 was in Antonus studio and workshop during some months for study, works and of course for enjoy it playing.
This second video is an improvisation using Korg PS-3300 with the Antonus Step Brother sequencer. One wonderful thing is that the Korg PS-3300 can use volt/oct scale using the pitch input and adjusting the level for correct scale making possible to use the Quantized outputs of the Step Brother. This allows to make two different sequences with the Step Brother with the 8/2 mode and play 2 parts of the 3300 (1 and 3) Compared with the first impro this is more sequential feeling, looking for play the instrument in a very far way from the keyboard concept idea thanks the the multiple patching points. Listening now I find that would have been interesting to add a drum machine or modular system with drum patches for fill with other drum layers... maybe next time I can have the PS-3300 again at the studio!
The Antonus Step Brother have many useful parts for creative patching, for interact with some parts of the 3300 and with the Step Brother itself to bring more life, movement and complexity in real time sequences and the main sound. Is is a perfect partner for sucha instrument, unique for being omniphonic, with patching possibilities, making unique sounds and techniques for this mixture of concepts.
The demo is recorded in one take, no multitrack was used in this recording. Only Korg PS-3300 + Antonus Step Brother + Korg SDD1200 dual delay unit.
The sound of this instruments is very very particular like no other synthesizer, it has the magic of the early synthesizers with all the beauty, the weird, the idealism, the raw, the musical and many other other adjectives proper of this kind of instruments. Is a real travel to the past while examining, studying and playing this instrument.
Thanks to Ernesto Romeo from La Siesta del Fauno studio laboratory in Buenos Aires for bring us for a time this awesome piece of electronic music history."

One of my favorite tracks.
Miami Vice Soundtrack - Crockett`s Theme
made by Jan Hammer (1986)
All parts made with the E-MU Emulator II (1984)
This cover song series contains my own recreations of my favourite songs from the last 50 years. The original music from which I take inspiration belong to their respective owners. I recreate tracks only for personal passion and to pay homage to these tracks.
My intention is not to create covers that sound exactly like the original (if you want to hear identical sounds, please listen the original). It's more of an inspiration with my sounds from the old synthesizers from the past and of course the great appreciation for the original performers and producers.
Check out the original songs with the original artists here on YouTube.
Thank you."
Street Noise | The Magic of Convolution (w. ECR+)
video upload by Cinematic Laboratory
"Being surrounded by noise all day long asks for special measures. So I recorded the noise and loaded it into ECR+ as a convolution 'reverb'. I used this week's harvested sounds to make something new.
The typical use of convolution is to capture the reverb response of a real space so it can be recreated later (e.g. a church, court or hall). But you can use any wavefile to make any (un)imaginable space. It's been great to jam with it."
