"Original Korg PS-3300 from 1977, only a few were made. Korg is going to reissue this model, but this is the real thing. Aimed to collectors at collectors' prioce, if you are a musician you´d probably better wait for the reissue at reissues' prices. The last we know was sold at this same price, so that's the starting point."

"This was a rescue that needed a lot of work. Synth works and sounds great now. Has cosmetic wear to the faceplate, see photos. No circuit modifications were performed, everything was left as it was.

Work performed:

-Full power supply recap (Nichicon electrolytics)

-All solder joints reflowed on every single board (this actually restored full electronic functionality)

-New Alpha brand 10K power/volume potentiometer switch (Original broken)

-All pots, switches, and faders fully flushed out with contact cleaner and followed up with DeOxit Faderlube as needed

-New knobs (Originals missing)

-New fader caps (Originals missing)

-Keybed removed and fully disassembled and inspected, keys ultrasonically cleaned (needed no repairs or adjustments, was just very dirty)

-New 2-prong power cable properly soldered in (no splices or twist caps)

-New custom-cut unfinished birch ply side panels from Send Cut Send (originals were heavily damaged/broken, hole alignment isn't perfect, still looks good, finish them in the stain/color of your choice)

-New black 3D printed keyboard side trim pieces (designed them myself in CAD, originals were heavily damaged/broken)

-New 3D printed Korg badge on back (Designed myself in CAD, original one was missing)"

"Functions are a suite of “sound transformers” that use a breakpoint function editor to apply modulation to the sound. Different from many standard audio effects with built in modulation capabilities like LFO’s or envelope generators, the Function allows you to draw in complex custom modulation shapes or multi-stage envelopes, which can then be indexed using a variety of signals, producing linear and non-linear modulations, designed to create interesting forms of movement.

"Tim Kroker is a drummer (Front 242), finger drummer and electronics fan and explores the areas between traditional handmade and electronic music. With "11811" he presents a composition for Soma's Pulsar 23, which he also makes playable in sheet music form.
Tim Kroker will present his composition and notation in collaboration with the Sample Music Festival (SMF) at the Pro, Light & Sound in Frankfurt/Main (Germany) from 20-23 March 2024 as well as at the SMF in Berlin from 12-14 July 2024."

"Couldn’t resist to give the #ep133KOII a chance. This is my very first jam and i‘m sure i still have a lot to learn on this machine. Everything here comes from the machine with onboard samples. My first impression:

Plus: Very immediate, great haptics, love the design, great onboard samples

Minus: No punch-in fx recording (which was present on all orignal PO‘s), No individual step lengths (only length of total bars afaik, so no polyrhythmic adventures).

Oh and btw if you wonder why the fader looks weird: They added this piece of plastic around it in order to avoid transport damage but it is sooooo tight i couldn’t even get it off. 😕"
