But now that I have the UB, which in no way sounds as beautiful as the OB-X8, I'm selling the OB.
Now that I have the two to compare, the most immediate difference is the build quality of the OB so completely outshines the UB. Next is the tone. The lows and especially the lo-mids are tight and clear on the OB. The UB is a bit boomy or mushy in comparison with a tendency to overdrive without adjustment on the board. The OB also has more preset storage, 128 more locations. However, given my lack of skills, musical and financial needs, I've got to sell the OB. My loss is your benefit."
"Here is the follow up video I promised, briefly explaining and demonstrating the 'flute' patch I discovered recently. This simple patch involves an external input / preamp module with an envelope follower, an oscillator with timbre control / wave shaping and a vca. Adding a noise source as a secondary sound, opening it with a similar envelope, can really add to the illusion that its a flute. I am taking the envelope follower from the aux in, and patching that to amplitude and timbre of the complex oscillator. There is also a pulse generated every time I blow into the mic. The pulse tells a sequencer to advance, changing the note you hear every time you blow into the mic. Thank you for checking out my video! Ricorda è un effetto stereo che comprende di un riverbero, looper, granulizzatore, freeze, pitch shifter, il tutto modulabile in una modalità secondaria che permette di modificare gli effetti in modo da avere una palette sonora infinita.
Questo pedale sicuramente va a collocarsi nella fascia dove risiedono pedali come l'Hologram Microcosm e il Red Panda Particle. Un grande punto in più del pedale è sicuramente il suono molto pulito e la posssibilità di allargare l'immagine stereo. Lo consiglio sicuramente a chi si è un po' stufato dei soliti nomi e per chi vuole sperimentare un po' con questa tipologia di effetti"

"This is a stereo wavefolder, 10 hp. It can be quite distorted and brutal ! It's loosely based on nonlinear circuits wf core (Lockhart cells) This stereo wavefolder allows you to achieve interesting stereo - folding effects even with very basic modulation. Output 1 is normalised to the input 2- this allows you to use it as a single ten-fold wavefolder!
When channels are used separately the module functions as dual 5-fold wavefolders. CVs (fold and offset) from the left channel are normalised to the right channel - so you can use single source modulation for both wavefolders. It can sound quite brutal and distorted-10 folds is not nothing!
