Volca Modular - How To Make Square Wave PWM Noise - Advanced Tips & Tricks
video upload by ChrisLody
"Here's a bunch of tips to get a bit more out of the Korg Volca Modular. Using the gate input of Function 1 you can create square, pulse and pwm sounds as well as making shapeable noise and use the woggle at audio rate.
Patch cards for the stages along the way are available here and now include a version with an LFO sent to pulse width that uses a smoothed version of the gate as a simple envelope:

Rave Jam with Echo Cinematic and Poly Cinematic and friends
video upload by knobula
"Poly Cinematic sequenced through an Echo Cinematic. The eq on the echo cinematic means there no muddy bass frequencies being repeated and only the brighter notes catch the echo, then there’s a few builds where I’m turning up the band pass frequency on the echo and adding a bit of the reverb in as well. Finished off with some Kickain side chain pump action and percussion provided by @rocket_not wobbler, @endorphin.es Queen of Pentacles and dark pew pews from @busycircuits Taiko Daiko."
RF Diode Dream VCF acid jam 138 breakbeat
video upload by Radical Frequencies Modular
"New clip with Diode Dream Vcf ! 138bpm analog jam. Dpvco square wave goes into RF transistor mixer that goes into Diode Dream Vcf. A modified RD6 is used as drum machine. Listen to this glassy and bubbly resonance how beautiful it sounds especially when there is some fm amount from the vco !"

Akai AX73 - The White Analog | Short edit reupload
video upload by Espen Kraft
"This track is done with the Akai AX73 analog synth from the mid 80s. All sounds are coming from it except the kick drum which is Roland TR-808. And the crickets?.... they've been recorded in my own garden with a Zoom H1.
This is a short edit of a longer video I once had on my channel about the AX73.
This track "Indian Summer" is part of my album "Dreams" from 2022.

Dr. Endo explores LIVEN Ambient Ø - #2
video upload by SONICWARE
"LIVEN Ambient Ø | Soundscape Synthesizer
https://sonicware.jp/pages/liven-ambient
For the ATMOS layer, I selected the ATMOS 2 (with FM) from the six structures of Blendwave Modulation Synthesis to create a bell-like sound.
Additionally, I entered notes into 5 random steps out of the 16 steps, and enabled the Random Sequence mode so that a different phrase would be played each time.

Any Colour You Like (Dark Side of the Moon) Pink Floyd: Synthi AKS
video upload by Andy Whitmore
"The Mind-Blowing EMS VCS3 part in Pink Floyd's Any Colour You Like.
S1: Ep1
Demo of the Synthi AKS solo from 'Any Colour You Like' from the legendary 'Dark Side of the Moon' Album - explained by Andy Whitmore at Greystoke Studio.
Dark Side of the Moon is a studio album released in 1973 - recorded at Abbey Road Studios - it took 7 months to record.
The Synthi AKS is wrongly credited on the album as EMS VCS3 - but the documentary videos clearly show David Gilmour, Roger Waters & Richard Wright playing the synth in my video.

The VCS 3 (or VCS3; an initialism for Voltage Controlled Studio, version) is a portable analog synthesiser with a flexible semi-modular voice architecture, by Electronic Music Studios (London) Limited (EMS) in 1969.
This product was called various names by EMS. For example, the printed logo written to the front left of products are: V.C.S. 3 or The Putney (VCS 3) on the earlier version, then The Synthi (VCS 3) II on the later version (Synthi VCS 3 II).
The VCS 3's basic design was reused by EMS in many other of their own products, most notably in the EMS Synthi 100 (1971), and the Synthi A (1971) and AKS (1972) (essentially a VCS 3 housed in a plastic briefcase). The AKS also has a sequencer built into the keyboard in the lid."
Siel Opera 6 Siel DK600 - Final Systematic Testing
video upload by tonetweakers
"Here’s the Seil opera 6 (also known as the siel DK600) that we just finished servicing. This instrument was serviced by another tech before our customer bought it. That tech did a bad job, requiring us to waste many more hours fixing what he failed to fix. This is unfortunately common these days with lots of unqualified people trying to save money by doing repairs themselves. As you can see from the video, it’s now in perfect working order. We tend to avoid dealing in SIEL products because the value of the time it takes to properly service things to our standards can exceed the value of the item itself. Here’s a rare opportunity to buy a Siel Opera 6 from us. It’ll be up on our website soon."
