"You don't see many of these! The Oberheim StretchDX Drum Machine has features even the DMX didn't. In addition to 4 extra eprom slots (meaning 4 more sounds), this machine has the ability to tune ALL of the sounds from the back panel. As you can see, it also has MIDI capability. The additional "Stretch" module has ZIF sockets, which make exchanging eproms quick and easy."

π Tiptop Audio RS909 π π§ (no talking) π§
video upload by Cutoff Frequency - gear stuff (no talking)
"This is a video demonstrating the sounds of the RS909 by TipTop Audio.
What can you expect from a modular rim shot? Well I was hoping for a high quality reproduction of the TR-909, which I got. It is a well put together sound module that cuts nicely through the mix. However, I was also hoping for some wildness, some creativity that goes well beyond the original. Unfortunately I didn't get that. The knob turning doesn't really inspire me to take the music to a new place. Still, a really nice rim shot though!
Artwork by a very young human being."
SonicLAB: Teenage Engineering Medieval Sampler
video upload by sonicstate
"In this SonicLAB episode, we look at the Teenage Engineering Medieval sampler, a whimsical companion piece to the original KO2.
We confess, the Medieval seemed like an outlandish concept with its unique packaging and medieval-themed sounds including trumpets, hurdy-gurdies, and crowd noises that evoke ancient pageantry. The device offers the same hardware as the KO2 but stands out with its distinct, medieval-themed LCD screen and faux-Latin graphics.
Despite its quirky thematic elements, the Medieval sampler features upgraded 128 MB storage, twice as much as the KO2. However, the additional storage primarily holds the predefined medieval sounds, leaving just 32 MB for user samples. The effects and MIDI functionalities are similar to the KO2, though the Medieval includes new effects like echo, ensemble and dimension Notably, the Medieval also allows for loop points in samples pre-defined, and multi-sample regions which isn't available in the KO2.
Ultimately, the Teenage Engineering Medieval sampler, priced the same as the KO2, feels like a bit of a novelty item. For practical use, the KO2 continues to be a more versatile choice.

One of my favorite tracks from the late 70s (early 80s)
Being Boiled by The Human League from the album Travelogue (1982)
Composed by Martyn Ware and Ian Craig Marsh with lyrics by Philip Oakey
Featured the Korg Maxi-Korg 800DV Synthesizer, the Moog Minimoog for percussion and the Boss DR-55 fΓΌr drums
This cover song series contains my own recreations of my favourite songs from the last 50 years. The original music from which I take inspiration belong to their respective owners. I recreate tracks only for personal passion and to pay homage to these tracks.
My intention is not to create covers that sound exactly like the original (if you want to hear identical sounds, please listen the original). It's more of an inspiration with my sounds from the old synthesizers from the past and of course the great appreciation for the original performers and producers."
Fender Rhodes, Solina and Yamaha CS15d: The Cinematic Combo.
video upload by Sebastian Galassi
"These days I'm bingeing on movies, old ones obviously, consequently my mood in the musical field is affected as usual by it, leading me to compose tunes with a strong cinematic flavor. When I talk about cinematic sound and equipment I can't miss the Fender Rhodes, the Solina and the Yamaha CS15d (there's nothing to do, I love this little ugly thing )... here's what I came up with last few days ..."
