"Here Comes The Sun has become one of the most popular and treasured Beatles songs, a gateway into their music for many new fans. This 3-minute gem of unforgettable songwriting is also packed with intriguing anomalies, production quirks and even a mystery. Unlike the vast majority of Beatles songs, Here Comes the Sun was not written by the main songwriting duo of Paul McCartney and John Lennon, but rather by George Harrison, the youngest member of the quartet, who contributed two memorable pieces to the Abbey Road album - an endearing love song called Something, and the effervescent Here Comes the Sun.

I’m going to take you on a journey through the song’s creation and point out some of these surprises. As a fair warning, You Can't Unhear This.

"Making a song from scratch is always an adventure. The instruments you choose to sequence or sample determine the narrative for your track. I chose to use the Teenage Engineering OP-1 Field and the Hologram Microcosm to guide me into what was later referred to as the "space jungle." This track falls into the jungle-IDM genre. "Very nice analog preset rhythm unit from the late 60s. It features 12 patterns that can be combined and 4 manual trigger sounds (snare roll, claves, tom 1 and tom 2), very much like the Farfisa Rhythm 10.

On the back of the unit you can set the 'impedance' and the "tone" of the unit. Also a pedal input is availbale for start stop.

intro synth used is a Korg Poly 61. Drum and synth recorded through a Teisco Vocal 120 in order to add spring reverb."
