The Roland SVC-350 is similar to the Roland VP-330 with a modernised (for the time) look and graphic EQ section. You can use a synthesiser, drum machine or guitar as the pitch source for the 11 band vocoder. The balanced or line inputs can filter any sound source. It also features a chorus ensemble effect."
"This is more or less an attic find, except the attic has been my teaching office for the last 20 years. This Roland TR-808 seems to have had a pretty easy life between the time it was made in the early 80s and when I bought it in 2002. For second half of its life it's been used maybe a grand total of 10-20 hours: once a year I would bring it in for my big lecture class on EDM and fire it up for a demonstration. It hasn't seen the inside of a studio or been used for a gig in over two decades. So the wear-and-tear on this box has been minimal!"

I made a quick tune to illustrate the groovy side of this synth, which can also sound quite wild and nasty.
