It's fully functional and sounds great as an original LM-2 should. "Fully serviced and working great. The Synergy II+ is a digital additive/FM synthesizer that sounds like no other. Somewhat similar to the extremely popular Yamaha DX7, it's tone is mellower and warmer. A popular website states 700-800 were made and estimates less than 100 are in operation today. We don't know how they came up with this estimation, but this one's working great, as we just fully serviced it. Famous users include Jay Wires, Wendy Carlos, BT (crumar gds), Junkie XL and Steely Dan. Carlos used it on the Tron soundtrack and other recordings.
Previously, one needed an old Kaypro computer with special software to edit sounds, but someone recently developed an editor that can be run on a modern computer."
"Classic Yamaha CS-50. At one point in its history, it was embedded into the top of a custom home organ console, and therefore lost its lower case. It has a homemade wooden base now. Power supply is not currently mounted inside. Beyond all that, it is complete and intact. Currently, it powers on but two voices do not sound. I do not know if it is an issue with the voice cards or key assigner circuit. Could be simple, or perhaps not. Controls and other functions seem to work but have not been thoroughly tested. The two voices sound glorious. All keys work."
