✈️ Alesis AIR FX ✈️ 🎧 (no talking) 🎧

video upload by Cutoff Frequency - gear stuff (no talking)

"This is a video demonstrating the sounds of the Alesis AIR FX.

The Alesis AIR FX was released in 2001 and it wasn't much of a commercial succes. At the time I was very reluctant to go on stage with a laptop of any sort, so I was always on the lookout for performative instruments. This ticked all the boxes. Just put it between a sound source and an input and start sculpting your sound in the air. It looks great on stage, all tough it might be something of a insiders thing. Still, it is a bit of a mystery to me why nobody is using these kind of effects. Nowadays they sell for reasonable prices, so I wouldn't hesitate to buy one if mine broke."

GliGli's Overcycler Demo

video upload by Ticco Ross

"When I heard that the guy that designed the famous Sequential Circuits Prophet 600 mod was going to release a low cost synthesizer based on the ssm2044 filters, I knew right then that it was going to be an amazing project.
A man only design, develop and build project. With its own sound makes this a unique synth with a lot of possible modulations functions. Here you can hear some patches I made with it."

The GForce IconDrum pays homage to the legendary Linn drum machine revising the concept for today’s digital age. The IconDrum provides a bridge connecting the iconic sounds of the early 80s with the creative possibilities offered by modern rhythm creation methods.

Authentic Sound—Immerse yourself in the vibe of old-school drum sounds, recreated and refined for pristine clarity without losing their classic digital warmth. The IconDrum brings you a rich library of 100 authentic sounds, each carrying the soul of the original machine.

Limitless Creativity—Aligned with its innovative feature set, the IconDrum’s sleek and user-friendly interface invites everyone, from beginners to experienced producers, to engage, experiment, and create sounds that are timeless and span a multitude of musical styles.

A LASTING LEGACY INTO THE HEARTBEAT OF MUSIC HISTORY

Like the Oberheim DMX drum machine, the original Linn hardware has left an indelible mark on the soundscape of popular music, crafting the rhythmic foundation of timeless tracks across a spectrum of genres.

From the unmistakable pulse of Prince’s “1999” and Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” to the iconic beat driving The Human League’s “Fascination”, the LinnDrum defined an era. Its rhythms laid the foundation for a-ha’s “Take On Me,” Madonna’s “Lucky Star,” and Billy Idol’s “Eyes Without a Face,” shaping the unmistakable sound of the ’80s. Even Peter Gabriel’s “Sledgehammer” and Stevie Nicks’ “Stand Back” owe their groove to this iconic drum machine.

We’ve included all the original sounds, maintaining their unique character that propelled these classic tracks. The IconDrum also offers many alternatives, expanding the classic sound set to inspire both nostalgic recreations and fresh, innovative productions.

HELL MODULAR Techno Session. The Hell Modular Synthesizer is a 5U system.

video upload by Cornel Hecht

"HELL MODULAR Techno Session. The Hell Modular Synthesizer is a 5U system. It offers more space for larger buttons, switches and sockets, making it very ergonomic to use. The controls are placed far apart, which makes handling easier and reduces operating errors. The modules are designed for sound quality and precise tracking. #hellmodular #5umodular #5umodularsystem #modularsynth #modularsynthesizer #modularsynths #analogsynth #analogsynthesizer"

CADENT / ratcheted filter pings / Nekyia Circuits / CADENCE

video upload by BRiES

"There's quite a few layers to this piece, but I want to point your attention to the filter pings that I triggered with the outputs of CADENCE by ‪@NekyiaCircuits‬
The first trigger (offscreen) pings a first filter but is also chained through to the trigger input of the first stage of CADENCE, which consecutively creates 3 more triggers for pinging other filters (tuned in an arp kinda pattern). I love the fact that I can do this with one module instead of having to use 4 seperate envelope modules."

New ULT-SOUND DS-4M Drum Synth Demos

video upload by Korablove Roman

Available at Nightlife Electronics

You can find additional demos in previous posts here.

"The DS-4 drum synth, which was released by Toyo Gakki in the 1980s under the "ULT--SOUND" brand and was used by the drummers of Japan's leading techno-pop group, has been revived in modern times. An inspiration for many modern drum machines, the DS-4 is heavily sought after for it's immediacy and ease of programming. As a 45 year old drum synthesizer, finding an original for a reasonable price without needing a complete restoration is not the easiest task. This is why the DS-4M project was brought into existence. Using all original schematics as well as original components, many of which are incredibly rare to find, the DS-4M is meticulously built by hand using thru-hole components. Physically, it is built like a tank to last for decades of enjoyment and creativity. What's more, modern MIDI and CV/GATE inputs have been added along with individual outputs and a high quality, balanced MAIN output ready to take the legacy of the Ultimate Sound DS-4 far into the future. The new functions also add an exciting twist: using the SINE or SQUARE waveforms, DS-4M also works as an up to 4 voice synthesizer, or any combination of drums/percussion with synths with accurate tuning as well"
