Three new Set creation features on the myTRACKS version 2.0 firmware

"The myTRACKS firmware 2.0 includes new features to make it easier to create and customize your own Sets:

-Hold down FREAK and press any pad to select row for a new Clip recording
-Hold down FREAK and press any INSTR button. Then send 5 notes into the myTRACKS over USB-MIDI on the MIDI channel that matches the Track number to re-assign the pads in NOTE mode. Use MIDI channel 5 to re-assign the Drums.
-myTRACKS can now record Clips using MIDI notes coming in from the USB-MIDI.

This video explains these features and how to use them.

Recording new drum loops from incoming MIDI notes is not yet supported in version 2.0

"A piece created using the YAMAHA TENORI-ON, ‪@teenageengineering‬ OP-1 field, ‪@SequentialLLC‬ Prophet-10, and a DIY noise box.

The OP-1 field's sound is processed into a drone using the ‪@ChaseBlissAudio‬ MOOD MK II while performing.

The TENORI-ON also produces drones, with its sound altered through reverb and filtering via ‪@strymon‬ NIGHTSKY.

The noise box is played using hands or brushes, and its sound is processed into a lo-fi character using LOSSY and then reverberated with ‪@gfisys‬ SPECULAR TEMPUS.

The Prophet-10 is used to perform sounds that bridge the melody and the drone."

"I’ve released my new FX app ShapeStage. It has 4 stages of with drive, character, pitch shifting, time effects, stereo spread, and granular texture generator. You can morph between the stages smoothly with the crossfader at the top. Also, it has 3 LFOs, 2 EGs (MIDI triggered or looping), and an envelope follower. With the mod matrix, you can modulate the stage parameters, stage morph, and mod parameters (LFO rate, EG decay etc) and create complex modulations as well."

"Syntheast was on a couple of weeks back, now in its third year, it's become a well established synth show with exhibitors, performances, and talks - and a friendly vibe.

Regular contributor Paulee Bow (‪@magicalsynthadventure3216‬ ) had a slot playing an improvised set with the organizer Robin Vincent (‪@MoltenMusicTech‬ ) so we sent them a phone trig to capture some of the people and performances from the 3 day event.
