XAOC DEVICES SAMARKANDA first test
video upload by ALEQ Modular
"I'm just receiving the XAOC DEVICES SAMARKANDA module !!!
The ultimate delay module ?
Maybe not , it needs some extra modules, maybe, like filters, or compressors.
But the best I know in the 'modular' spirit. And it's what I'm looking for.
Why ? because the module fonctionnalities are completely open. Almost all parameters are CV (or gate) controllable, and the 4 delays can be independante.
So, if I need more functionnalities, I can add them to the module by patching other modules: there are all the jacks we need.
Also, no sub menus or tiny screen.
It means that it can be deeply connected to all my other modules: the 'modular' spirit...
To show how this module is easy to use, this is really an 'out of the box' test. (for a result after a deep exploration of the module, see the very good demo that are already on youtube, from your favorit youtubers)
Audio sources are the DUAL UNDULA OSCILLATOR and the 4TOMS from LARIX ELEKTRO.
Sequences with LARIX ELEKTRO module, RITOURNELLE serie."

"1950s Vintage Gibson Clavioline w/Tube Amplifier / Speaker / Case & Tripod Stand
The Gibson Clavioline is a single manual mini-key piano attachment with a tube preamp and amplifier, made from about 1934-1965. The sound made famous in Telstar and in The Beatles' 'Baby I'm A Rich Man', it uses a basic square wave.
The original design was by Constant Martin in France, and many companies licensed it. Selmer were perhaps the most famous maker in the UK, but Jorgensen in Germany was another, and Gibson in the US. The common design feature was a metal-cased keyboard, complete with internal tube tone-forming circuitry. The case attached by metal sliders to rails that could be screwed to the underside of your piano keyboard - or you could use the Clavioline as a stand-alone instrument on a metal stand. There is a Set of rocker switches underneath the keyboard for tone choice. The tube amplifier and speaker are in a case, which the Clavioline keyboard folds into for transport.
Although the tone is quite variable, the sound is distinctive, and instantly recognizable, due mainly to the simple envelope employed - and maybe also to its monophonic nature, which somehow gave melodies a different feel from exactly the same line played on an organ. It may be the glitches which provide its charm. Gibson licensed the Clavioline design from Constant Martin and made the American Clavioline version in 1954. Al Kooper plays one on BS&T's first album, Child is Father to the Man, and I think the specific tune is 'Meagan's Gypsy Eyes.' Also used on 'Sweet Pea' by Tommy Roe, 'Just a Mirage', Tommy James, and Del Shannon's 'Runaway'. A really cool instrument, it's the big brother to the Clavioline used on 'Telstar'.
Good condition, functional but has issues. Powers up, although the power light on the amplifier does not light. Keys play, but seem to just play one pitch, with a variable pitch underneath, and a quavering quality. The tone switches do change the sound, volume control works, and the octave switch works.
Includes the tube amplifier / speaker, which forms the case that holds the Clavioline, the Clavioline keyboard, 3-legged tripod stand, and power cable with split-off multi-pin cable that powers the Clavioline. Also has the service manual (which appears to be original). And includes the expression knee-lever, which is integral to the sound of the Clavioline.
Full pictures are here, along with a video of the instrument being played:

"Minimoog Model D with Kenton MIDI conversion > This minimoog has been recently serviced and plays very well. It has a Kenton MIDI conversion which allows it to be played over MIDI. The top panel is in good condition but the case has quite a few knocks, especially on the left side - see the photos. The origin of the red paint and red knobs is unknown but is a professional job. The case was obviously dismantled and painted inside and out.
There are two non-standard silver knobs for the master tuning and Osc 2 tuning. These are 'vernier' knobs which allow for very fine tuning. They have 10 turns instead of the original knob's 1 turn.
The voltage plaque says 110V but it was converted a long time ago to UK /euro voltage with a UK plug.
In response to questions about this, all I can say about the modifications is that they were there when I bought it in around 1990 - I find the fine tuning knobs really useful. I don't have any internal photos but the guy that serviced it said that some circuit boards have been changed, I believe it has the later oscillator boards. VEMIA can collect and pack: 18GBP."

"ARP Odyssey MKII with Kenton MIDI conversion with rare original 220/240V power supply. This is a very early MKII Odyssey (serial number 38 !) with a Kenton MIDI conversion allowing it to be played over MIDI. It has been recently serviced and is in very good condition cosmetically with just some very small marks to the case and a couple of the keys. It all works well although some of the most commonly used sliders are starting to get scratchy. It is all unmodified apart from the MIDI, the high level output and audio input which have been changed from RCA sockets to Jacks - and the two switches which relate to the Kenton MIDI operation. Kenton instructions for use included.
In response to questions about the filter type, we haven't been able to check for certain - it was working well and sounding good so no attention was paid to it during servicing. The owner wouldn't feel happy opening it up. VEMIA can collect and pack: 18GBP."

"This special Synthi-E was in prior use by a music school for the blind and the panel was damaged by the sign language stickers hence we decide to be serviced. It just came back from service from EMS experts Portabellabz (Invoice included) - It was modified for 3,5mm jacks instead of the non-standard jacks. - A new power supply is also supplied. - As the Slider Keyboard was unable to restore, it was decided to put in just a 'panel' instead of the actual slider keyboard. Parts are included in the purchase if you want to convert it. - Due to the age, pots are still scratchy despite being cleaned, but this gets substancially better when used more often. Panel has been reworked by Audiocustom.pl - Service alone is around 1400 EUR worth."
