"Roland SH-101 Red Analog Synthesizer Keyboard Vintage Mono Synth with MGS-1 Grip

This keyboard was just repaired by AMP Audio Maintenance Professionals in Richardson, TX. They replaced the fader kit and dust shield as needed. Chemically cleaned and re-seated connectors. They are an authorized dealer of Roland.

Some of the plastic black caps over the controls are loose (please see all 7 pictures). One of the little tabs that holds the battery cover in place is damaged. Some small marks/stains on the front of the keyboard."

Redshift 6 - Rave Breakbeat

video upload by Supercritical Synthesizers

"Early 90's rave/breakbeat vibes with Redshift 6.
This demo consists of four multitimbral parts, all recorded live from their individual outputs:
Part 1: Bass line (Character: Mean)
Part 2: Detuned saw lead (Character: Mean)
Part 3: Distorted acid lead (Character: Sour)
Part 4: Square lead (Character: Sour)

The acid lead has an external delay; all other synth parts are dry.Drums were added in the DAW."

DX7 & D-50 Dream Team | Ep.2 Electric Pianos & Strings

video upload by Espen Kraft

"When using a very transparent type of electric FM piano it can be very cool to have a dense, lush and saturated type of strings/pad underneath, pretty low in the mix.
The D-50 can do very nice thick and dense strings. Much more so than any analog synth which can also be nice, but analog isn't always the better solution.

For the second patch combo I use the TX802 for the more airy, blowing attack type of sound. Usually this is where the D-50 shines with its PCM attack samples, so it was fun to turn it around and create a cinematic timbre with D-50 filling out instead."

Get to grips with the Roland TR-1000 – Producer's Guide

video upload by MusicRadar Tech

"Unveiled earlier this month, Roland’s TR-1000 was always going to cause a stir. This flagship drum machine sits at the top of Roland’s line-up, with a top-end price to match. It’s the first Roland drum machine in more than 40 years to feature analogue sounds, with 16 circuits that mimic those of the iconic TR-808 and TR-909.

To focus solely on the TR-1000’s analogue elements would miss a lot of its highlights though. Alongside these sounds, Roland’s behemoth also features sampling, flexible effects, digital percussion sounds and a well-equipped, creative sequencer.

In our video, we explore the basics of the TR-1000 workflow and explain a few of our favourite creative features, including resampling, timestretching, the Morph crossfader and the master effects.

In this video, we’re using the TR-1000 alongside Erica Synths’ Bassline synth. The TR-1000 is sending MIDI clock to the Bassline sequencer, and the Bassline is routed into the TR-1000’s rear panel input and routed through the Master FX unit.

In this video:
01:40 – Sequencing basics
07:20 – Resampling a drum loop
19:17 – Drum layers
23:05 – Sub steps and probability
24:52 – FX routing
28:45 – Morph
32:23 – Variations and fills"

Synthesizing with Moog | Lesson 3: Vibrations

video upload by Moog Music

"Sound is a phenomenon of vibrations in the air. In this episode, we look at the source of vibrations on the synthesizer – the oscillator. We investigate how to tune the oscillator to a particular note and how to add oscillators together. We also dive into the topics of harmonics, looking at how the shape of oscillation creates distinct tones with different harmonic characteristics.

Written, hosted, filmed, and produced by our team of electronic musical instrument experts, this new seven-part educational video series makes learning the fundamentals of synthesis accessible, engaging, and inspiring for anyone curious about science, music, and how the two worlds converge. We set out to create a series that brings you as much technical knowledge as it does entertainment and joy as you watch each episode!

We invite you to follow along with us at home with a printable worksheet corresponding to the contents of each weekly episode. https://inmusic.to/bdhnff3m
