The MFB Nanozwerg is a compact monophonic analogue synthesizer that packs serious versatility into a tiny footprint. It features a true analogue VCO with selectable triangle, sawtooth, square, and pulse waveforms, a sub-oscillator or noise generator for added depth, a multimode 12 dB/oct analogue filter (lowpass, highpass, bandpass, notch), and full modulation capabilities with an LFO (including “one-shot” mode), ADSR envelope, and CV/Gate or MIDI control. Despite its modest size, the Nanozwerg handles basses, leads, sequences, or noise/FX sounds, and thanks to its VCF and VCA routing plus audio input, it can even be used as an external filter box or effects processor when processing other sources."

"Polynomial - a new phase modulation synthesizer for Monome Norns featuring Chebyshev polynomial waveshaping, instability systems, and deep modulation capabilities.

Built using Claude code. This 24-minute piece explores the sonic range of Polynomial through its preset system, moving between clean melodic tones, textured drones, glitchy rhythmic patterns, and layered ambient soundscapes.

Signal Chain:
Monome Norns (Polynomial) → Chase Bliss Onward → Oto Bim → Oto Boum → Chase Bliss CXM 1978

The performance uses Polynomial's 12-preset Grid system to shift between radically different tones - from warm pads to aggressive leads, chaotic textures to pristine bells. Long delay times on the Onward allow sounds to layer and evolve, while quick preset changes create glitchy, stuttering textures.

With the latest updates to both Mercury-8 and SFC-8, they are a powerful and satisfying combination.

SFC-8 features a solid build and updated firmware already mapped to various JP-8 emulations like Mercury-8. With its full set of pots, sliders, and switches, SFC-8 utilizes Mercury-8's key features, including layered split and dual modes, drift/detune, the arp, and up to five user settings.
