3 Filter Techniques I Keep Coming Back To (ft. WMD C4RBN)

video upload by Dots

"Unlock more from your filter than you thought possible.

In this video, I walk through three creative ways I use filters in my modular system — starting with a familiar technique and quickly moving into more experimental territory. Along the way, we explore ways to shape movement, add character, and completely transform a simple patch.

The final patch is where things get really interesting… and it might just change how you think about filters altogether.

Whether you're new to modular or deep into patching, these ideas will work on pretty much any filter in your rack.

I also show some of the additional features of the WMD C4RBN along the way... including some features which are great for live performance!

00:41 Technique 1 - Envelope & key tracking
01:53 Key tracking
02:30 Negative modulation
02:58 Attenuating key tracker
03:26 Technique 2 - Parallel filtering
05:10 Technique 3 - Sample & hold
06:21 Saturation
07:03 Wavefolder
07:28 Performance buttons
08:52 Ping

Orpho CV Note Looper – Calibration Mode Explained

video upload by HOX808

"This video shows how to calibrate the Orpho CV Note Looper for accurate pitch tracking across multiple octaves.

Learn how to enter Calibration Mode, adjust tuning and octave tracking, and match the module to an analog oscillator using the 1V/Oct standard. For this demonstration, a Behringer 921 VCO is used, along with a tuner for precise adjustment.

Calibration helps compensate for small variations in modular systems and ensures that all notes stay in tune over the full range.

TANELER by boorch First Steps

video upload by Fedir Tkachov Music

"Today is a very good day because a new app TANELER by boorch (Bruce Menace / Cometary Trails) finally got released! https://boorch.itch.io/taneler

This recording is my first go at it. I found some improvised abstract vocoder recordings from another project, and a bass loop I once made, and as if by magic all these layers worked really well. It's a very simple setup, there's even no lfo modulation used.

In the meantime, my latest album 'Uncut Jams' is yours for the taking on bandcamp!"

😂 sometimes all you need is a pokey

Pokey — Passive CV Performance Switch & Router (6HP) Pokey is a passive Eurorack module designed for expressive switching, routing, and mixing of two signals — whether audio or CV. At its core, Pokey is a hands-on performance tool: • Smooth manual crossfading between two inputs • Voltage-controlled switching and blending via CV or trigger • Works equally well with audio and control signals Because it’s fully passive, it requires no power and integrates easily into any system. What You Can Do With It • 🎛 Manual performance mixing — Blend two oscillators, textures, or modulation sources by hand. • ⚡ CV-controlled switching — Animate transitions using envelopes, LFOs, or triggers. • 🥁 Lo-fi “Lopez gate” style drum shaping — Use triggers to rhythmically open audio sources for percussive effects. • 🔀 Creative signal routing — Build evolving audio paths or modulation networks in compact systems. Specs • Width: 6HP • Passive design (no power required) • Skiff-friendly depth • Audio & CV compatible Pokey is simple in concept but powerful in practice — perfect for small performance systems and modular setups where space and immediacy matter.
