MIDI OCTAVIUS - A MIDI Transpose module for synthesizers and other devices

video upload by MIDERA

"Hello! I have developed my own MIDI transpose module.

What does it do?
It takes the MIDI note date in from your respective synthesizer to your sequencer (or even back into the synthesizer to play back the note data) and transposes the note data up to two octaves up or down. You can select your own MIDI Channel by long-pressing a different MIDI input channel.

Why did I make this?
I became frustrated that a company wouldn't implement a MIDI transpose mechanism for their synthesizer, thought they'd add all sorts of other features. This has been in development since January of 2026, or something like that.

Who is this for?
Anyone who has a synthesizer that they want as their master controller, but it doesn't have MIDI transposition buttons.

Are you interested in this? Want to help me make an enclosure so it's nicer? Check out my webzone and send me an email there and we can chat. Webzone: https://www.midera-artist.com/"

Waldorf Iridium MK2 - Powerhouse Synth Review

video upload by sonicstate

"Paulee Alex Bow (‪@magicalsynthadventure3216‬ ) takes a look at the new monster synthesis machine - the Waldorf Iridium MK2 (‪@WaldorfMusicChannel‬ ) a 16-voice synthesizer with four layers and wavetable, FM and sampling engines.

Paulee gives us an overview of the hardware, the new Seeds synthesis, which blends up to 12 mini-synths scanned like a wavetable, plus the flavor knob for note-on randomisation.
Four layers bring a mixer and round robin key assignment, while Aphex Twin-inspired per-note parameter locks assign different sounds and engines to each key.
There's Kernels FM, a Kawai K5-style additive patch, legacy grunge modes, SoundFont conversion via ConvertWithMoss, granular synthesis and CV inputs.

Priced around £2,085 its a robust wavetable synth for tweakers

Dreadbox Artemis Review — Raw Tones, V1.2 Update & Nymphes Comparison

video upload by Starsky Carr

"A full demo of the the Dreadbox Artemis V1.2 firmware plus a comparison with the Dreadbox Nymphes I demo demo every new Firmware V1.2 feature (mod matrix, MPE/CC74, BBD Resonator, BBD Playground, updated reverbs), and answer the big question: is it worth the upgrade?

You'll hear a 7-minute uninterrupted sound journey — from a bare 2-oscillator patch, through filter sweeps, stereo spread and lush Sinevibes effects, then all the way back down to the raw tone. I've hidden some classic samples in there too... can you spot them all? Drop your guesses in the comments 👇

Plus: PWM and sawtooth A/B tests against the Nymphes, the new no-oscillator mode (play the filter as a sine wave!), the drive circuit, every distortion algorithm, and a filthy acid bassline in mono mode to prove it's not just a well-behaved polysynth.

▶ WHAT IS THE ARTEMIS?
Dreadbox's flagship 6-voice analog polysynth: 2 VCOs per voice plus sub, hard sync, thru-zero FM, filter FM, resonant 12/24dB low-pass + high-pass filters, 2 ADSRs, 2 LFOs per voice, stereo voice spread, polyphonic sequencer, and 4 stunning Sinevibes effects (distortion, modulation, delay, reverb) — all modulatable within the patch."
