Cyma Forma RND: Deep Dive & Sound Demo (No External FX)
video upload by Andre Bregegere
"In this video, I am taking a detailed look at the Random (RND) synthesizer by Cyma Forma. This review and demonstration covers everything you need to know to get started with this unique instrument. I walk through the RN's basic functionality, panel layout, and connectivity options before diving into some hands-on sound design.
First, I explore the RND's capabilities as a standalone generative synthesizer, letting the instrument's internal logic drive the soundscape. Then, I demonstrate how it responds to external input by hooking it up to a MIDI controller and keyboard to play it more traditionally.
To give you the most accurate representation of what this instrument sounds like out of the box, all audio in this video was recorded straight from the RND's headphone output. There is no added reverb, delay, or external effects—just a touch of dynamics processing and mastering applied in Pro Tools to ensure optimal listening levels.

9/3/26 (300 test) ElectroComp EML 200 & 300 + Peavey DDL-3 + CXM 1978
video upload by Cfpp0
"It took many years to find an EML 300 controller that wasn’t too haggard or too expensive, but here it is—and it’s blue! We weren’t sure whether it worked properly or not, but I plugged it into one of our EML 200 synthesizers today and it powered up. So far it seems to be working pretty well. This was the first test. The oscillator we hear is coming from the EML 300, with the pitches punched in manually on the keypad. The envelope settings are also from the EML 300, but the envelope is modulating the EML 200 VCA, which is processing the audio from the 300. The VCA output runs through the EML 200 internal spring reverb then out to the Mackie Onyx 1640. The delay is from the Peavey DDL-3 and the reverb was blended on the CXM 1978, but the delay is only heard through the wet delay."

Yamaha RX21 - A Vintage Drum Machine that Promises Realism
video upload by Manitou Productions
"In 1985 Yamaha released the DX21 Digital Rhythm Programmer, promising the drum sounds were 'indistinguishable' from the real thing. We know better, don't we? That doesn't mean we can't enjoy the RX series of drum machines for what they are: fun and simple beat boxes that still have something to offer in 2026. Let's go!"

How to fix timing issues when using hardware with a DAW
video upload by Alex Ball
"A look at how to eliminate timing issues such as latency and jitter when using hardware with a DAW.
The solution in the video is to use Sync Gen 3LX from Innerclock Systems that sorts out your dodgy midi clocks, din sync and analogue clocks for step sequencers.
Disclosure: Innerclock Systems sent me the units a year or so ago, but haven't ever asked for a video, instead it was viewers and patrons who wanted to know how to solve these issues and this is the way that I do it. However, as the units were given to me, I've flagged the video as including "paid promotion" to be transparent.
