Knobula Drum Farm - Drum and Percussion module - SonicLAB Review
video upload by sonicstate
"Paulee Bow (@magicalsynthadventure3216 ) reviews the Knobula Drum Farm @knobula_synths - a fascinating drum and percussion based Eurorack module combining a drum synth, two sample players, a sampler and 16 effects. Each drum engine offers decay and two parameters, and Paulee takes us through the voices.
A clever workflow means that the Drum Farm can easily capture the drum synth into Sample players without FX for immediate triggering, while the sampler records into a 16-slot undo buffer with SD card saving and can grab external audio with effects.
CV assignment is assigned dynamically via jack and knob, and lets you apply audio rate modulation which can produce aliased textures.
External sampling uses a trigger into the record socket."

Tape Fiasco 2 for iPad: the whole plugin, on a tablet
video upload by Phase Fiasco
"Tape Fiasco 2 is now on iPad. Not a stripped-down companion app: the same engine that runs on macOS and Windows, rebuilt for touch, as a standalone app and an AUv3 plugin.
Download on the App Store: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/tape-fi...
$19, one-time purchase. No subscription, no in-app purchases.
BUILT FOR IPAD
• Standalone app or AUv3 in AUM, Logic Pro, GarageBand, Cubasis, Loopy Pro, Drambo and other AUv3 hosts.
• Load your own audio as the sound source, or start from the built-in factory loop library.
• Record the output and share or save a WAV straight from the app.
• Ableton Link for tempo and phase sync across your network.
• MIDI Learn with mappings that persist across relaunches.
• Two-finger scrolling, resizable and rotatable layouts, touch targets tuned for fingers instead of a mouse.
• Background audio, so it keeps running when you switch apps.
Desktop (AU / VST3, macOS + Windows): https://www.phasefiasco.com/tapefiasco-2"
"Most audio plugins process your sound. Tape Fiasco performs it. Four independent time engines run simultaneously: a dual-grain stretcher that slows, freezes and scrubs in real time; a tape machine with wow, flutter, stop and scratch; a rhythmic slicer that repeats at any subdivision; and BendIt, a circuit-bent buffer mangler with a seven-zone pitch macro from subtle wobble to full DJ scratch, quantized to the host grid. Chain them in any order.
Behind the time engines sits another 30 effects, from spectral filtering and modal resonators to distortion, bit destruction, circuit bending and beyond, followed by a master stage with a three-band EQ, compressor, soft limiter and auto gain.
Routing goes deep. Animate any parameter with multiple modulators: LFOs, random sources, envelope followers, and bezier graph editors. Sequencers stretch, bend and stutter. The Perform section puts four macros and an X/Y pad on the front panel, each routing to up to five destinations with three-point crossfade curves, all recordable as host automation. If it moves on screen, you can automate, sequence, or modulate it."

Simple Sequencing is Better! | Doepfer A-155-2
video upload by Braintree56
"The Doepfer A-155-2 is an eight-step analog sequencer stripped down to the essentials — eight knobs, four jacks, and an interface that encourages you to patch first and figure things out as you go.
In this video, I take a look at how the A-155-2 works and explore why I enjoy Doepfer's approach to modular synthesis so much. There's something about simple, immediate modules with no screens or deep menus that gets at what I love about modular: you learn the concept, patch it up, and start making music.
I go through the A-155-2's basic sequencing functions, CV ranges, step controls, ratcheting, sequence limits, direction and random modes, and preset system. I also try out one of the more unusual ideas from the manual — running the A-155-2 at audio rate and using it as a graphic VCO to shape a waveform.
Finally, I put it to work in a few different patches, including a rhythmic patch using the original A-155 alongside the A-155-2.
Doepfer provided the A-155-2 for this video. They did not pay me for the video or have any control over its content. I've been using and talking about Doepfer modules on this channel for years, and this is the first module they've sent me."
Elastic Melody for iPad – Feature Demo with K.O. Sidekick
video upload by Elastic Instruments
"Elastic Melody has just received a huge update, significantly expanding its sonic possibilities and sequencing capabilities!
In this performance, Elastic Melody runs on two iPads: the left iPad mainly provides the rhythms, while the right one plays the bassline. Both devices stay perfectly synchronized via Ableton Link.
Available as both a standalone app and an AUv3 plug-in for iOS and macOS, Elastic Melody features three channels of synthesized sounds, an analog-style step sequencer, and four master effects—making it easy to create evolving melodies, basslines, rhythms, and polyrhythms.
The Teenage Engineering K.O. Sidekick is a great choice for this setup. Here, it acts as both an audio interface and a performance mixer for live effects. Its tempo tracking keeps the effects synchronized with the performance.
In case you’re wondering: This video is not sponsored by Teenage Engineering. I bought the Sidekick myself—I’ve simply been having a lot of fun with it lately! ;)"

Error Instruments meets Torso Electronics: Evolving Soundscapes
video upload by Andre Bregegere
"Welcome back to @abregegere! In this extended, explorative sound design session, I’m pairing the chaotic brilliance of the Speak & Glitch by Error Instruments with the deep processing power of the S-4 by Torso Electronics.
We start by establishing a gritty base sound on the Speak & Glitch, dialing in some fundamental compression and reverb on the S-4 to glue it together. From there, we dive into the deep end—leaning heavily into the S-4’s robust modulation capabilities to transform the audio into evolving, quasi-generative soundscapes.
This session is only lightly annotated to let the sound design speak for itself. Feel free to use the timestamps below to jump straight to the sweet spots!
