"I limited myself using only Stylophone Beat with Loopy Pro to make a chill lo-fi track. This little drum machine can also do neat bass sounds, which I've used to create a melody over the recorded beat.

I was usually using the Beat exactly as intended: punching in notes with its built-in sequencer (which is quantized), then jam over it with a synth or a guitar (so basically it was a groovy metronome for me). This time I wanted to try something new and use it exclusively to create something "off the grid", so I've played the Beat freely and looped it. With the use of some great effects I managed to elevate the sounds of this unit."

"Most audio plugins process your sound. Tape Fiasco performs it. Four independent time engines run simultaneously: a dual-grain stretcher that slows, freezes and scrubs in real time; a tape machine with wow, flutter, stop and scratch; a rhythmic slicer that repeats at any subdivision; and BendIt, a circuit-bent buffer mangler with a seven-zone pitch macro from subtle wobble to full DJ scratch, quantized to the host grid. Chain them in any order.

Behind the time engines sits another 30 effects, from spectral filtering and modal resonators to distortion, bit destruction, circuit bending and beyond, followed by a master stage with a three-band EQ, compressor, soft limiter and auto gain.

Routing goes deep. Animate any parameter with multiple modulators: LFOs, random sources, envelope followers, and bezier graph editors. Sequencers stretch, bend and stutter. No talking, no tutorial: just AUM, a drum loop, and GlitchShredder chewing through it. I load the effect, run through some presets, and play with the Chopper, Decimator and Stutter Sync controls to show what the engine does to a simple beat.

GlitchShredder is a zero-crossing chopper with a probabilistic glitch engine. It slices the incoming signal into segments and reassembles them in a different order, backwards, at the wrong speed, or completely at random — from subtle rhythmic artifacts to total deconstruction of the source.

Ethereal ambient calm | live looping with the Stylosette Keys

"Relax with this soothing, calming ambient track. Live performed simple looping with the almighty Loopy Pro and a bunch of beautiful effects.

Disclaimer: Stylophone sent this product free of charge; I wasn’t paid, and they had no input on the content.

I loved the Stylosette immediately after trying it. It looks like a toy, but the sound is fantastic, and the octave shift and adjustable vibrato makes it more capable than I thought it would be (I didn't even try the built in delay this time, but it also sounds great and can do self-oscillating madness as well).

Most people use the Stylosette through fruits, and other food like sushi and cheese (genius haha), which I might try next time, but I only wanted something simple and conductive for the octave key to play the high-pitched melody after the base loops were layered... so I used a Japanese knife. Mostly because it looks great and sits stable on the table (cutting edge idea...).

"Auto Fills is a random MIDI generator app for creating drum fills for your drum synth apps or hardware synthesizers. It works as an Audio Unit AUv3 plugin with the supported host apps such as AUM, Loopy Pro, Logic Pro, Cubasis, Nanostudio, apeMatrix etc.

In Auto Fills, you are working with a drum kit. You can either create the kit by adding drum parts and assigning them MIDI notes/channels yourself, or you can select a kit templete from the settings menu for an app or hardware for quick setup.

- In Kit mode, you can assign a probability value to each drum part.
- In Velocity mode, you can assign a velocity to each drum part, and you can also introduce velocity variety for them.
- In Duration mode, you can set the drum fill length as well as the waiting time before and/or after the drum fill, in beats or bars.
- If you've set "wait before the fill" and/or "wait after the fill" durations in the Duration mode, the drum fill won't be played during the waiting periods.

If you have a favorite drum sequencer, you can route it through the Auto Fills, before the drum app, like
