FIRMWARE UPDATE for Frap Magnolia – version 1.10
video upload by Frap Tools
"Download firmware and instructions here: https://frap.tools/magnolia
There's a firmware update for your Magnolia! Here’s what it does:
• Adds 200 memory slots, bringing the total to 400.
• Adds full CC implementation (in and out) over every parameter.
• Adds MIDI over USB.
• Adds user-definable velocity and aftertouch curves with 11 degrees of hardness/softness.
• Adds the possibility for the user to define the LED brightness. It is possible to choose two factory presets (high or low brightness), or to define a custom user setting with independent controls over the red, white, orange LEDs and the display.
• Fixes a bug that prevented the keyboard to retain the parameter value after the Static Value display was used.
• Fixes a bug that played wrongly incoming MIDI notes."

Dreadbox Artemis – Ambient Pads, Chilled Tones & Arpeggios
video upload by Starsky Carr
"25 minutes of pure Dreadbox Artemis. No talking – just sound. Sit back and drift through lush ambient pads, evolving drones, chilled atmospheric tones and hypnotic arpeggios, all created on this 6-voice desktop analog polysynth.
Every sound you hear comes straight from the Artemis: 2 analog VCOs with wave shaping, PWM and FM, sub + noise, resonant 24/12dB low pass and high pass filters, dual poly LFOs, polyphonic sequencer/arpeggiator, and the onboard Sinevibes effects doing the heavy lifting on space and shimmer. It supports poly aftertouch and MPE too – perfect for slow-morphing ambient textures.
Ideal for background listening, studying, relaxing… or deciding whether the Artemis deserves a spot in your studio."
Plinky 12 Toadstep – Full Overview and Demo
video upload by Nathan Plante Synths
"I had way too much fun exploring the synth – its so easy to make interesting patterns and just as easy to tweak them and mangle them. The sampler is quite impressive and lets you turn just about any sound into a synth voice. ToadstoolTech and mmalex have packed so many tweakable features into this new instrument, it was hard to fit it all in to one video. Happy plinking!"

Yamaha AN1X Editors Suck! He made it simple to bring out the best of Virtual Analog
video upload by Ted murena
"https://prophetic-annie.netlify.app/ go here to try it out. The AN1X was at least inspired by the prophet 5 but kinda missed its mark by being a virtual look alike to the CS1X which was a fun but limited ROMpler - that said the AN1X is really annoying to navigate and the editors available are complex because they cover100% of the synths features - makes sense if you have a lot of time but I don’t…. The prophetic Annie aims to simplify while also giving some of the best features and sounds of the AN1X their place to shine"

Lihuel Sosa & 1nd14 - Modulaciones (Techno + Arte generativo)
video upload by Modulaciones

"Techno music composed and performed live on the fly. The setup: a 'groovebox' (Roland TR-8S) and the Bree 6 polyphonic synthesizer by @gsmusicsynths (an absolute beast). No computer, no post-production editing—this is exactly how it sounded live.
VISUALS: 1nd14 (Generative art) / 1_n_d1_4_
The visuals are created using TouchDesigner, a visual programming environment designed for real-time content generation.
The workflow integrates visual synthesis techniques, real-time video manipulation, and generative design, allowing the imagery to evolve organically and respond to external stimuli.
This event is organized by the Modulaciones community, a project bringing together creators Bianca Leveroni, Dan Chelger, Diego Scagni, Cintia Cejas, Evangelina Moldú, Roco Collado, Maxi Stork, and Lihuel Sosa, while also inviting other artists to join each gathering. MYSTERON : Make Noise's lost gem
video upload by Robotopsy Robotopsy
"The Mysteron is neither an oscillator nor a traditional instrument. It is a digital resonant structure whose behavior seems to oscillate between known physics and something less easily explained.
This demonstration explores its responses to different forms of excitation, its unpredictable resonances, and the soundscapes it generates when left to evolve freely."
Centrevillage Live in Nihonbashi (Urban Oscillation #2)

30 min live performance.
I was using my LilaC Repeater.
The LilaC's loop range is changed by a MIDI keyboard."
Money, power and ... synths? - what synthesizers can tell us about geopolitics
video upload by Floyd Steinberg
Missed in South America: GS Music - Argentina, EMW - Brazil, and AtomoSynth - Peru. AnalogFX in Netherlands. Meng Qi is worth a DIY stand out mention for China as well as Aforack in Uganda, Africa. There's no way to list every manufacturer, but if he missed a country/region feel free to comment (feel free to comment regardless of course). It's an interesting video and a useful reminder of where manufacturers are based.
"If a country can support one or even more synthesizer manufacturers, that tells us a lot about its place in the world. I have some numbers to back this up, look at some of those synthesizer-producing countries and then make some predictions on their future trajectory.
Table of contents:
00:00 introduction
00:50 the idea (explained with the UK)
02:43 the synthesizer world map walkthrough (west to east)
03:01 United States of America
04:21 France
04:56 United Kingdom
06:27 Germany
07:50 Italy
09:08 Scandinavia (i.e. Sweden)
10:07 Eastern Europe
11:18 Ukraine
12:18 Russia
13:19 China
15:11 Australia and New Zealand

18:40 The DIY scene
19:34 conclusion - where are the countries headed to?
