Unlike its predecessors, the vibe of the Nymphes led me to a much more rhythmic accompaniment than in previous episodes..

Dreadbox Nymphes: 49 Mono Presets: Lead, Bass, Pluck, Chord

"'Monophonics' is a collection of 49 monophonic presets for Dreadbox Nymphes. It includes: 14 Basses (Banks A and B), 14 Leads (C and D), 14 Plucks (E and F), 7 Chords (G).

The soundset is suitable for many genres: ambient, electronica, IDM, trip-hop, lounge, downtempo, chill out, new age, cinematic, trance, deep, progressive, techno, industrial, breakbeat, breaks, jungle, drum and bass, dub and others.

All presets are Velocity-sensitive and have ModWheel modulations. The presets are dry, I didn't use Nymphes built-in reverb. But you may add any portion of reverb according to your situation, or use third-party effects.

Make sure you are using the latest Nymphes firmware (2.0.1 or higher).

The soundset is in a SYSEX format. It can be sent to the device via regular SYSEX apps, like SysEx Librarian (Mac) or MIDI-OX (Win).

Before sending the presets, make sure you've made a backup. After uploading the new bank, all previous user presets will be erased.

Connect Nymphes to the computer via USB.
Open SysEx app and choose Nymphes in MIDI port settings.
Add .syx file to the app. Drag & Drop or File Open/Add.
Choose this file in the list.
Push Play/Send in the app.
Sending process takes about a minute.
Have fun.

As usual, No Talking. Usually there's no effects as well buuuuut... the Starlab is an effect. There's no processing or even panning this time around with the only exception being some levels being dropped to prevent clipping. If you hear fluctuations in volume, it's the actual devices doing that based on parameter changes (wherever you see me turning knobs)."

"Don't know if anyone is still interested in these Nymphes MPE explorations with the Linnstrument. Here's yet another with the Hologram Microcosm.

Overall I am very impressed by how big the Nymphes sounds when compared to other six voice polysynths. Makes me wonder a bit if I overestimate the importance of oscillator per voice.

"Dimitra connected DISORDER and LETHARGY to the NYMPHES synthesizer, so as to try different fuzz settings with a pinch of phasing.
- - - - - - - - - - - -
DISORDER is a very aggressive fuzz pedal with a twist. It is equipped with a self-oscillating filter, that allows you to produce oscillating fuzz sounds. Additionally, it has a low pass and high pass filter, that makes it suitable for guitar and bass as well. Finally an envelope follower is also present, allowing you to create wah-wah sounds.

LETHARGY is an OTA based Phase Shifter effect pedal suitable for fretted instruments and synthesizers, with eurorack patch compatibility.

'As a working woman, mother, + lots of other important roles I have to get through all day, it is really hard for me to find even a moment during a day to try the Dreadbox devices I design. That was my third time playing with the Nymphes synthesizer and I had to shoot a video to remember this moment :)
I only had a spare hour at the office, I connected Nymphes with a midi keyboard and straight to the audio interface. Firstly, I started recording the bass track, then the lead track and surprisingly, I left the drum for the end... '

I have been to “L’Ermita de La Trinitat”, a sacred place on the heights of the “Parc Natural del Garraf” in Sitges, a beautiful place with views of the Mediterranean Sea surrounded by pine forests.

This was a part of my happening. From here to Greece with love.'

"Another Nymphes improvisation with the Linnstrument and Microcosm. Don't know why I called the piece Baby Dinosaur, but that's just what the track was titled in my Logic folder.

Hope these aren't getting to repetitive or self-indulgent. But uploading the videos is really encouraging me to practice with the Linnstrument, and there doesn't seem to be a lot of Youtube content featuring the Nymphes and MPE.
