"I love this little synth but there's very few demos on YouTube. Therefore here's ten minutes of paraphonic ambient Nyx patches, guaranteed no talking, no overdubs and most definitely no Strymon shimmer effects. Just Nyx with a little stereo delay at the end of the chain to widen things up for headphonauts.
Oh, and there's cheeky beats from the Octatrack on one patch, just for a bit of fun."

"A simple drone with DREADBOX NYX with a little help from some modular friends because I could not find an internal patch or way to cinfigure it as a drone machine due to a missing VCA control knob -- too bad! So I had to get some external constant voltage from MUTABLE INSTRUMENT STAGES to to keep the Nyx VCA going!
This is one of the first Nyxes that were built without SMD! Serial 60."

I prepared a bunch of midi loops in Ableton Live to make a song structure. All synth sounds are played live by my three analog synth:
- Dreadbox Nyx (paraphonic) : lead and solo
- Moog Slim Phatty (monophonic) : bass and solo
- Elektron Analog Keys (polyphonic) : pads

The synth are mostly driven by the midi loops in Ableton Live, using the Ableton Launchpad to switch between loops, except when I use the Novation Circuit to play the melodies.

For the fun, I used many cameras to shoot the jam, including my kids' cameras ;-)

As this is a prepared jam, I am maybe less natural and fluent, but the track structure is more complex and interesting, so I will keep on improving this setup!"

"Dreadbox Nyx - First Play. Picked up this awesome synth today. This is just a quick test. Playing it paraphonically in one take. VCOs split routing to the two filters then half way through I cut out the filter altogether and route the VCOs direct to the VCA with only onboard reverb. A touch of external ping-pong delay which stereo-izes the reverb etc. then through the Analog Heat for a little EQ and drive."

"This is another episode of PURE ANALOG here with DREADBOX NYX. The synths here being played without FX = PURE ANALOG which is a project to find out and show the qualities of analog synthesizers and eventually also hybrids. And exciting Question is also how contemporary synths like this lush GRP A-2 or EREBUS NYX compare to vintage legends like MINIMOOG or ARP ODYSSEY or ROLAND JUPITER 4 etc. So this piece will be played and performed with different synths in the future track by track recorded in DAW without any equing or otherwise processed in DAW, no add modulation, reverb, saturation or other FX. Only a mastering compressor, EQ and Limiter is used on the sum. So what you hear is completely un-FX-ed material -- almost impossible to find these days!!!"

Effects are a mix of Valhalla Shimmer and the built in reverb of the NYX. I also used some Soundtoys Echoboy delay."

"First session with my favorite two DREADBOX' NYX and EREBUS.
The NYX provides some creamy 70s vintage style Leads. The Erebus is triggered by a patchblocks sequencer/arp patch which I redesigned to work with the KB-1 block.
Together they walk along the snowy road to Berlin School style. I had my fun that's for sure.
