Autumn Soundtrack live on Yamaha rm1x

YouTube Uploaded by rm1xapm on Nov 1, 2010

"Autumn Soundtrack, live on Yamaha RM1X (and Korg Kaossilator at the beginning) I hooked up an old Yamaha DJX 1 keyboard to MIDI out of the RM1X and used the piano patch from the keyboard synth. IMO it sounds much better than the RM1X build in 'Grand Piano' patch. Drums, bassline and vibes are from the RM1X. This track is not yet finished, it is just a quick'n'dirty live mix but I hope you enjoy it anyway :)"

Restored Yamaha Rm1x Sequence Remixer (1 of 2)

video upload by Yamaha Rm1x

YouTube via pmanderson70.

via this auction

"This is a Yamaha RM1x Sequence Remixer I'm selling on eBay.
The video was recorded with a Samsung NV24HD pocket camera.
Audio recorded with Audacity on a PC and later mixed with Windows Movie Maker.

Sequence 2 includes additional percussion from a Yamaha S90 synthesizer.
Sequence 1 is 100% RM1x.

27 (keyboard) contact switches were replaced with better tactile switches. The original black (Mitsubishi) floppy drive was replaced by a Panasonic drive.

The drums and basses are my favorite sounds on this thing; the second sequence bass is too funky for words."

Restored Yamaha RM1x Sequence Remixer (2 of 2)

"These make great drum computers, even if you don't use the internal sounds. The built-in step recording and grid recording modes make drum sequencing fun."

Yamaha rm1x and Korg Microsampler live jam: Running

video upload by rm1xapm"

"To create the melody I sampled the very old piano in our living room and played it on the KORG Microsampler, spiced up with some reverb and sequenced the whole thing with my favorite Yamaha rm1x. As usual, the other voices are delivered by rm1x itself.

Yamaha Rm1x dreamy house beat - sky and clouds

video upload by rm1xapm

"In this jam I am using sounds from the Yamaha Rm1x of course, the PSR 4600 (is running through a 20 year old Behringer Virualizer FX unit for some reverb) and the SY35 for the background synth sound. Last but not least the Korg Kaossilator Mini makes some noise. You can hear the Rm1x right at the beginning playing the portamento synth, IMO it fits perfectly with the FM sounds of the PSR4600, its a great combo. Finally the main mix is compressed to tighten it up. Enjoy."

live performance on yamaha rm1x a summer house dance track

video upload by rm1xapm

"A summer vacation dance track. It wasn't planned. I was jamming on the rm1x and did some experiments using the Kaossilator and a gate on the output of an old Yamaha PSR4600 to create some nice ryhtm patterns - selected Patch '42 Horn' and it just happened. :) The blips and plings are from the SY35, drums and bassline from the rm1x directly. Hope you like it."
