The white tape are labels I use to get around Europa's functions. This is 3M acid free archival mounting tape, it is very easy to remove and should not degrade the synth in any way."

"The kit is comprised of 12 tiles that magnetically adhere to the Jupiter 6 operations panel. The process of adding the magnets is quick, easy and with zero mess. As no gluing, sticking or adhesives is involved the process is totally reversible and will not affect the condition (or the value) of your synth. The tiles can be added and removed at the operator’s discretion.
The magnets are of high quality durable materials and are UV resistant. It is the same material used on car magnets.

"Europa is a hardware sequencer, it does not contain a 'sound engine'. It has been designed from the ground up to be utilised with your MIDI synths, analogue modular, drum brains and drum machines.
Eurpoa was designed to be utilised with our SQ8 and Oberkorn analogue sequencers (and anything else with a compatible clock input).
Either use the main sync out or one of the seven trigger outputs to clock your analogue sequencers. Have them step whenever you like by programming triggers into the Europa sequencer. You can have 2 sequencers play alternately. You can mute the track so the Oberkorn/SQ8 sequencer stops! Use another trigger and you can activate the reset feature of the Oberkorn/SQ8!

"This is an example of my (2) Music From Outer Space Soundlab Pluses that I recently finished. The SL on the right is sending LFO and AR to the CV inputs on the SL on the left. The Moog cp251 is being used as a mult and also the LFO is slowly sweeping the VCF CV on the left SL. Theres is also a AR signal being sent to trigger the SH-101 and from the 101 CV out back into SL 2s oscillator CV. Both of the Soundlabs are using the S&H function as well...
This was recorded in Ableton with a little verb and compression. This was just a patch making beautiful soundscapes not a musically piece.

The sequencer is triggering AS Europa thru trigger sync and the Europa is running the Access Virus TI Snow, the MAM ADX1, and the TR606 Exfade mk2 by midi. The synthesizers.com modular, and 2 MFOS Soundlab Plus Mini Synths are being controlled by the sequencers cv / gate outs. This was done to see how everything would sync to the sequencer and meant as a written piece of music. The sequencer has 3 cv outs, gate out and trigger out. The Soundlabs and the 10 Step were built by me but I still have a few bugs here and there to work out, for the most part though Im very pleased with them.
There were also a few clicks and pops in the bounce that Im trying to track down. There was no clipping of any of my outputs throughout the signal chain and I am not too sure where they are coming from.

"All of the Jupiters have a sound that was unlike any other synthesizer and the JP-6 lives up to the billing. The sound is due in part to classic analog Roland technology in its filters, modulation capabilities and a thick cluster of 12 analog oscillators at 2 per voice. Easy and intuitive programming via front panel sliders, knobs and buttons for all your tweaking needs.
A few minor scuffs here and there as you can expect for something which is nearly thirty years old, but nevertheless - this is a incredible analog synth beast which has been regularly serviced at James Walker’s Synthrepair. He actually commented it was one of the best that he had come across. A reluctant sale but my workflow has changed over the past year and i've gone back to an ITB setup.
The Europa firmware upgrade gives the JP-6 an up-to-date and deeply comprehensive MIDI implementation. All parameters are controllable via Continuous Controller or SysEx. Europa also features an extensive arpeggiator which will sync to MIDI clock with programmable clock divisors and rhythms, and has about 50 more playback variations than the JP-6's original Up, Down, Up/Down, and Down/Up. A Europacized Jupiter-6 is a thoroughly modern synth with a classic sound, great for sound design and will only go up in value."
"Just serviced. All sliders, buttons, knobs, keys work as they should and a fresh battery was installed for years of reliable patch storage. Does not have the Europa mod installed. I personally do not recommend europa, I owned a Europa Jupiter before and it had a habit of glitching out and removed the clock-in function which was essential for using directly with drum machines.
The Jupiter-6 was stored in a case for most of its lifetime and the case foam melted onto the synth. Luckily the case was form fitted so it did not get onto the sliders, controls, and keys, but chassis has been covered with melted foam appears to have dried and fused with the finish. I’m not sure how to remove it properly and I don’t want to risk but it’s purely cosmetic and the synth is fully functional.
I do not want to attempt to remove the foam myself in fear of damaging the synth so I will leave that up to the owner. Besides the foam, the synth is really clean."
