"This ARP 1613 sequencer is just back from SynthChaser, where it was given a full inspection. He replaced all of the sliders with brand new ones, cleaned the entire thing, replaced capacitors in the power supply, and two faulty timing chips that had failed. It was then calibrated and sent back good as new. It was given a clean bill of health.
I would rate it a 9.5 out of 10 cosmetically. The only blemish is a single chip in the paint by GATE 1, barely visible in the picture. Other than that, it looks to be well maintained and kept clean for its life of 46 years or so! It works almost magically with hardware synthesizers to make you create sequences you couldn't make any other way than by seeing them on this grid. It can be externally clocked, of course, or used stand alone, sending gates/triggers out. All buttons, sliders, and switches work without issue.
This is THE machine to couple with an ARP 2600, ARP Odyssey, or any modular synth where you need an extra "Hand" as the advertisement read. Works perfectly with Eurorack as well. There are 16 steps for voltage via the sliders, 3 gate outputs per step, and it can be set to play 2x 8 step sequences in Forward or Random modes. It even works at audio rate to waveshape your own creation. When you use SKIP mode, you can come up with all sorts of odd time signatures.
These are rare. I've only seen this one in my 30+ years of hunting synthesizers. It is priced to sell!"

Sliders refurbished - It's rare that Synthchaser will agree to restore the original sliders in these synthesizers, but when he does, he does it right! The sliders have been desoldered, disassembled, ultrasonically cleaned, lubricated, reassembled, tested and reinstalled. All original slider caps are present! Power supply rebuilt - All tantalum and electrolytic capacitors in the power supply have been replaced, and high quality, high temperature 105 deg C capacitors have been used for the power supply filter capacitors. All tantalum capacitors replaced - The tantalum capacitors in ARP synths are ticking time bombs. All of the over 100 tantalum capacitors in this synth, including the power supply and filter submodule, have been replaced with electrolytics to help provide stable operation for years to come. Synthchaser 4075 Filter Enhancement Kit Installed - The ARP Omni uses the same 4075 filter submodule found in the Odyssey, Quadra, Avatar, and Pro DGX. This has been recapped, and enhanced to provide superior frequency response. Keyboard rebuild - New key bushings installed, buss bar & key contacts cleaned and adjusted, keybed leveled, keys ultrasonically cleaned Oscilloscope calibration - Fully calibrated to factory spec using oscilloscope and frequency counter."

"This is a little video I put together featuring a track I worte after restoring my personal Arp Odyssey 2810. I had put this synth off for at least 2 years but recently serviced a very clean 2823 model Odyssey for a local client and decided to knock my unit out at the same time. While many synths are listed as "serviced" or "fully serviced", they are usually devoid of any details of what was actually done. Those that do provide details or service invoices often reveal that the synth was merely superficially serviced, and not genuinely "future-proofed". I have not only serviced this Quadra, I've taken it down to the chassis and overhauled it. Work done included:

"This vintage ARP Odyssey has just been fully serviced by Synthchaser, the west coast's leading ARP specialist - recapped, new ICs, new key bushings, all new LED sliders, fully functional, tuned and calibrated, and sounding awesome! The Odyssey was ARP's answer to the Minimoog, a feature packed scaled down version of the legendary ARP 2600. This particular ARP Odyssey is equipped with the 4075 filter, the 4 pole LPF found in all late model ARP synths.
The synth is in great condition, and the silkscreen is strong and clean, which is often lacking in Mk II Odysseys found on the market. Two small holes in the panel above the lower end of the keyboard (where an old mod was removed) have been tastefully capped off. The LED sliders are color coded to correspond to the original colored slider caps, which give a visual indicator of the function of each control. If you are afraid this will wear thin when Christmas season is over, I am willing to change the LED color scheme to something more subdued, or disable the illumination entirely for the buyer before shipping, upon request.
"Oberheim OB-8 in beautiful cosmetic condition, fully serviced, calibrated and fully functional. One of the nicest OB-8s in the market at the moment. The front panel is very clean with very minor scratches. Please refer to the posted pictures. I zoomed in as much as possible to highlight those scratches. These scratches are less visible on the actual unit. The original wooden end cheeks are also very clean as can be seen in the posted picture.
This OB-8 has is serviced by one of the best techs in Alberta, Canada as of December 2020. Here is the list of the works done on this OB-8:
• All capacitors and bridge rectifiers are replaced by high quality ones from Synthchaser's “Power Supply Capacitor & Rebuild” kit. • All capacitors and fixed resistors are replaced with high quality ones from Synthchaser's “Voice Board Ultimate Service” kit. • Two faulty CEM3310 filter envelope chips on voices 1 and 3 (U111 and U311) are replaced. • Two faulty CEM3340 VCO chips are replaced with the new CEM3340 Rev G chips on voices 1 and 3. • Soldered-in battery are replaced with a 2xAAA holder, into which Energizer Ultimate Lithium cells were inserted. A silicon diode (1N4148) was inserted in series with batteries to drop appropriate voltage. Holder mounted within easy reach upon cover removal. • The following trimpots are adjusted (on all voices where applicable): oscillator 1 V/oct., oscillator 2 V/oct., filter envelope modulation, filter resonance, filter V/oct., filter initial frequency, and lower voice board output level. • Power supply voltage trimpots T1 and T2 are adjusted. • All control potentiometers are cleaned to fix scratchiness/intermittency on several controls. • The MIDI functionality is tested and the unit receives, transmits, and passes through MIDI data normally. • All the trimmer are adjusted. No problems whatsoever with the existing trimmers. • All voice panpots are tested. • DAC and bend lever calibration are checked. • All LEDs are Checked. • The unit is calibrated according to the factory manual."
