"This is a short demo of a trick I discovered while using the sequencer in the paraphonic mode. I discussed with Arturia's engineers and tet didn't know about it, theys said "it's a luky accident". Well it's a lot of fun anyway...'

YuSynth is Yves Usson, the designer of the MiniBrute which led to the MatrixBrute.

"Last july I was lucky enough to have a pre-series MatrixBrute for beta-testing. I made some videos : here is a weird electronic soundscape... Just fun tweaking knobs ;-)

This is a direct sound recording of the MatrixBrute, no external effect, no EQ, no editing,no compression (except that of youtube ?)."

"When I received my Roland System 700 Main Console I programmed a weird drone on which I started to improvised on the Teisco 110F (it can cry like an electric guitar) then added arpeggio and sequence on my pair of Arturia MiniBrutes. That was fun. It is a shame that it was recorded with the microphone of the video camera which tends to blend everything"

Yves Usson aka YuSynth is the creative force behind the Arturia MiniBrute and MicroBrute. Their circuitry is based on Yves Usson's designs with the filter based on the Steiner Parker filter.

"I fill like bellish sounds and random tunes this saturday morning. The responsible for this messy tune are the Macbeth M5 (bells) going through a MOS-LAB 905 Reverb module and the overlaid random tunes comes the Roland System 700 Main Console.

"Just some fun coupling my MiniBrute to the Eowave Metallik Resonator. The Metallik Resonator is inspired from the "D3 diffuseur" of the Ondes Martenot, it is a weird loudspeaker made by exciting the Gong foil with an audio transducer. This way the Gong foil plays the part of a loudspeaker membrane will adding its own metallic resonances. The sound of this video is recorded with no effects."

On this video one can spot a mixed MOS-LAB COTK modular ( Moog modular clone ), a Synthesizers.com System 88, a Manikin Memotron keyboard and Memotron rack, a Waldorf Microwave XT, a Yusynth Modular, a Roland Laboratory System 700, a Crumar Multiman S, a Yamaha CS15, a Roland SH5, a PPG-100 modular, a Minimoog and a Yamaha CS10.
The soundtrack is a short piece (strongly influenced by Tangerine Dream circa 1975) I composed and played with some of these instruments for a friend's birthday last year.

"Our friend Push-pull discovering the magic of a modular synthesizer (MOS-LAB system16) in Oryjen's magical music cave. The system is driven by an external CV/GATE played by our host Oryjen.... yusynth patching and tweaking the MOS-LAB system16 in Oryjen's magical music cave.... yusynth (blue t-shirt) and oryjen (red shirt) blasting the loudspeakers with some untamed cross modulation !!!! The Memotron beneath the modular is crying for some strokes... Push-pull refines the settings of the bass sequence then Spookyman and Oryjen start a jam session :-)"
