memotron dream sequencing (lo-fi glitch vid)

Published on Sep 15, 2019 磁鬼頻率

"This is a demo of the Memotron m2d in action - only using one sound. Some processing used before recording to tape.

I used a Doepfer Dark Time to sequence it, and the sequencer of a Casio CZ-5000 to sequence the Dark Time."

Relaxation Music with Tibetan Singing Bowls and Synthesizers - VR 360° Video (Live Synth Jam)

Published on Apr 16, 2017 Ralph Baumgartl

Some 360° synth spotting. You'll need a browser other than Safari that supports it though.

"This Live Synth Jam is our first attempt at Relaxation and Meditation Music. My friend Bernie was using various Tibetan, Thai and Burmese Singing Bowls, Gongs and Chimes, which were recorded with a Zoom H2N audio recorder and mixed together with the Synthesizer and Keyboard recording from the mixer. This was a spontaneous idea to try out something that we haven’t done before. The video is VR 360°.

The gear list for the Synth Rig: Roland JD-Xi, Mini Korg-700, Minimoog Voyager, Memotron, Korg Micro-X, Strymon BigSky, Strymon Timeline, Zoom MS-70CDR."

Oxygene Memotron

Uploaded on Jun 7, 2008 WaxApul

"When I was looking to buy a Memotron I was surprised at the lack of videos on YouTube actually showing off this beast. For those of you who don't know, the Memotron is a replica Mellotron made by Manikin Electronics in Germany.

Anyway, I bought one and fell in love with it. This is a very simple and quick demo of the unit showing you three sounds, Eminent Strings, Flute and Genesis 8 Choir.

I have played the sounds in a Jarre Style, from Oxygene 1 and Oxygene 2. The Eminent strings are routed through a Boss DD3 pedal and Small Stone.

The Memotron comes with one CD of sounds called Vintage Collection 1, however, I have an extra CD called Vintage Collection 2 which contains 12 more sound sets for the Memotron including two sets of sounds from the Eminent 310U Organ, the signature JMJ sound.

In the mean time have a look at my myspace page for a few more tracks:

Hot Cats

YouTube via ThePurityControl — June 16, 2010 — "Phoolan takes a liking to the fan, unfortunately i didn;t get her hassling me to switch it on, while Eugene flops out to conserve energy in the heat :D

The making of this short video did not overly spoil my enjoyment of The Wild Thornberrys."

Vocoder Bollocks Pt 3

YouTube via ThePurityControl — May 21, 2010 — "Blade Runner gets the Vocoder Bollocks treatment, this time using a manikin Memotron as the synth, and swapping between male and female choir sounds. While it sounds a little more organic than the earlier offerings, it seems that the type/quality of the synth sound is less critical than ordinarily - whatever you put in, it comes out sounding overtly synthesised O_o"

modulars by the pound

YouTube via yusynthman
"Goodness gracious ! I think I am getting addicted to analogue modular synths. Here is a brief tour of my bedroom (I took the bed away from the room) some of my beloved machines. A synthesizers.com System 88, my yusynth modular I designed and built (more details at http://yusynth.net), a Laboratory System Roland 700 cabinet and a mixed Club of the knobs (COTK) and MOS-LAB modular (kind Moog modular clone).
The audio track is an excerpt of a short improvisation I played with my yusynth modular and a Memotron."

I've received a couple requests to put this up, so why not.

via J: "Black Mountain performing on Conan O'Brien, Synth player Jeremy Schmitt is playing a Manikin Electronic Memotron, Moog Source and a KORG CX-3. He also does solo synth music under the name "Sinoia Caves." In the realm of early Klaus Schultz, Tangerine Dream.

EL-KA - Live @ E-Day 2007

You might remember EL-KA from these previous posts. The project features electronic music primarily from Hajo Liese and Till "Qwave" Kopper. That's them pictured in the CD inlet to the left. Pictured below is "Cosmic Hofmann (the brain behind the MEMOTRON, he did all the sampling libraries) explaining the Memotron to David Wright from UK." You can listen to and pick up the album here.

As always the posts here are about the synths. Click the top image to see the synths used.

Update via Qwave in the comments:

Tweaking the MOS-LAB System16

YouTube via yusynthman. via Yves of yusynth.
Videos are from the Franco-Swiss meeting (previously posted here).
The last video is a jam session featuring the MOS-LAB and other synths.
Descriptions (in order of videos):
"Our friend Push-pull discovering the magic of a modular synthesizer (MOS-LAB system16) in Oryjen's magical music cave. The system is driven by an external CV/GATE played by our host Oryjen.... yusynth patching and tweaking the MOS-LAB system16 in Oryjen's magical music cave.... yusynth (blue t-shirt) and oryjen (red shirt) blasting the loudspeakers with some untamed cross modulation !!!! The Memotron beneath the modular is crying for some strokes... Push-pull refines the settings of the bass sequence then Spookyman and Oryjen start a jam session :-)"

BTW, check out the MOS-LAB link under MORE: directly below for previous posts. I tag everything that goes up so you can always get more info by clicking on the tab or doing a search on the upper left search box on the site. Search for anything.
