Guru Josh - Infinity (original full video)

YouTube via Sensenick. You know you like it. Sent my way via fischek. Spot the synths. Anyone know what the box he's messing with at the end is?

"This vintage upgrade gave the original OBX three times the memory capacity than the original stock OBX offered."

Studio Electronics MIDI Moog Minimoog Oscillator Board

via this auction

"Studio Electronics oscillator circuit board from their MIDIMini rackmount Minimoog synthesizer. This is 3 cloned Minimoog oscillators on a circuitboard. It's a more stable version of the original Minimoog oscillator board that can plug directly into either a Studio Electronics MIDI Mini or a real vintage Minimoog model D synthesizer. It's the same shape and size of the original Minimoog oscillator board. If you have an original Minimoog but it's got dead oscillators or really unstable oscillators, this board may be a good purchase for you. Alternatively, if you're a DIY type who enjoys building synths, you might want to buy this board so you've got 3 Minimoog style oscillators at your disposal. Obviously there's no power supply or chassis included so if you're without a vintage Minimoog or MIDImini, you'll need to rig something up."

"We've had multiples of most vintage synths but this is the first one of these we've had in. So either they're rare or there just arent many of them here in the US. The color scheme reminds us of the Oberheim OBX. Here's an overview.... It's a 2 oscillator 6 note polyphonic analog synth that uses CEM chips, the same type inside the most sought after vintage analog polysynths, so there's a similar sound, perhaps with a lesser price tag. There's also an organ section with 4 drawbars to determine volumes of each of 4 octaves. The filter sounds really nice - its got quite a warm sound. The LFO can do FM, wah or tremolo. The LFO section also has adjustable slope and delay, which many similar synths didn't have. There's a button that causes the LFO to automatically do 1 octave square wave pitch modulation, which is a really interesting feature. The oscillator glide can be set to single or multi trigger. There's an oscillator pitch envelope as well. Otherwise, it's got your usual polysynth features. One particular strange feature is the ability for the voices to alternate between square and sawtooth waveforms. I can understand both at the same time, but alternating? Can someone please explain to me why anyone would want this? :)"

RjDj The mind twisting hearing sensation.

YouTube via RjDjme
"RjDj is a music application for the Iphone. It uses sensory input to generate and control music you are listening to. RjDj is mainly consumed with headphones. Think of it as the next generation of walkman or mp3 player. The consumer experience of RjDj is similar to the effects of drugs. Drugs affect our sensory perception, so does RjDj. RjDj is a mind twisting hearing sensation."
