Update via brian comnes in the comments: "this thing had no power supply - good luck finding one they are 15V center tapped - yep thats 7.5-0-7.5 volts on three pins and a rare 5PIN DIN arrangment ....I had to build one from scratch using a 9-0-9 tranny and so far it hasn't fried - Wine Country (bless their heart) occasionally gets them...but don't hold your breath"

It was an extremely expensive ($6000) polysynth monster of the early eighties.The definitive sound of true pure analog- wide, warm and big for orchestral textures, funky early 80's grandmaster flash & Van Halen "JUMP" type sounds. Sound of obxa is simply impressive. One huge feature of the obxa is the easy to use split function which adds so many more sonic possibilities."

"This is one of those "must have" synthesizers for those of you who play out often! This is my highly modified "Psychedelic pop art" Sequential Prophet 600, the earliest synthesizer with MIDI. All of the black paint has been removed to reveal the bare metal surface. This includes any factory markings of control knobs, etc. (You can easily make a control template and lay it over the controls in order to identify them). The membrane touch pad has also been painted over to obscure the numerals. Finally, the keys have been painted with day-glo paints. When put under a black light onstage this synth is amazing. The synth is in good working order,all controls work, and it is loaded with a set of my bizarre patches created with an editor program (Midi Quest) It has also had the oscillators detuned to give it an earth-shattering bottom-end. The oscillators can easily be returned to normal with a simple adjustment."
