Sequential Circuits PRO-ONE Vintage Synth SCI Pro 1

via this auction

"The Pro One was basically Sequential's attempt at taking their legendary Prophet 5 poly-synth and packing it into a monophonic analog synth! It has two VCOs, a great 4-pole lowpass filter, two ADSR envelopes (one for filter), and a compact three-octave keyboard. With a Pro-One, you can easily create punchy analog bass-lines and leads or quirky analog synth effects."

DIY Synth Panel Basic Demonstration Videos 1 - 6

YouTube via pickleinn — May 09, 2010 — "some basic patching on a serge like diy panel... They each go through some very basic patches. For instance, this first one shows how to get the dual function generators to start cycling. Some show how to use them as oscillators, other show them as envelop generators, others show them as a clock. Same with the wogglebug, LPG and programmer/sequencer.

in these videos:
- the wogglebug is used as an audio source, a cv source and a basic LFO for clocking the programmer/sequencer. It is shown being clocked by either the 281 or by its own LFO.
- the low pass gate is used as a filter, vca, cv mixer and audio mixer as well as acts as the final stage before the audio is output to the guitar amp.
- the 281's are used as oscillators (the first part of the video shows the peak function and the quadrature function), LFO, clocks, and envelope generators.
- the programmer/sequencer is used as a trigger source to get the 281's cycling (in the first video). Its also used as a sequencer and a keyboard. The last video shows row 1 out being used as a control of the pitch of the 281s. Row 4 shows the cv outs being used to open/close the VCA (LPG) for accents on notes. At one point in the video, the programmer/sequencer is clocked at audio rates (can be used to program in different waveforms). The programmer/sequencer is being clocked by either the wogglebug LFO out or one of the 281 channels."

WHO's BABA 5u Mattson EG Module DEMO

YouTube via MrRitchieDrums — May 09, 2010 — "Gearge Mattson makes a Mini Modular Synthesizer system & also offers boards to build your own Modules. He built this EG in a basic panel to show how his designs can be used in the 5u format. Some of the sounds it produces remind me of The Who song "BABA O'RILEY"(also known as TEENAGE WASTELAND). Not trying to reproduce that sequence here, just experimenting with a similar 4 note pattern on the Q119 analog sequencer. This Envelope creates rhythm patterns that wouldn't normally occur using delays. Also simulates distortion effects when the repeat rate is MAX!!"

Mattson Modular EG with Synthesizers.com DEMO

"MrRitchieDrums — May 09, 2010 — George Mattson makes a mini modular system and also offers boards to make your own modules. He built this one using a simple 5u panel. It is running off my Synthesizers.com power supply. It will also work with MOTM power. This is a simple patch using 1-VCO, 1-VCF, 1-VCA & the MMM EG. The Q119 sequencer is producing a 12 note pattern"

JUPITER III - mini analogue percussion synth

YouTube via chamberofsounds — May 09, 2010 — "After extensive testing, I realized the Jupiter III would greatly benefit from the addition of a trigger input and touch-sensitivity. Now you can plug any source into it, even a simple metronome, to control the rhythm or make the unit sustain indefinitely. The volume of the input controls the dynamics of the notes. Also the touch-sensitivity feature lets you to use your finger-tips to play sustained notes in addition to Jupiter III's already super-cool. manual percussive mode (you can bang on the box). This little guy does it all - it's handmade. fully analogue and totally unique. Get one of a limited run today only from chamberofsounds.com"

Sytem 100m with custom Steiner-Parker Synthacon VCF clone

YouTube via dracena — October 04, 2009 — "http://www.myspace.com/sarculator
--------------------------------
A demonstration of Steiner-Parker Synthacon VCF clone (Curetronic Steiner VCF) put in a custom made system 100m module enclosure. I named it "m-128".

All sounds in this demo (including drum and percussion sounds) were programmed on system 100m.
For the "self propelled" sound example in the second part of this video an additional LFO was trans-patched from Korg MS-20 to Sys-100m.

Modules in my system100m:
181 - 49key keyboard
112 - dual oscilator x 2 (that's 4 VCOs altogether)
121 - dual filter
130 - dual VCA
140 - dual envelope generator & LFO
150 - ring modulator, sample&hold, noise,LFO
128 - custom Steiner-Parker VCF clone (by Curetronic)
440 - custom SSM2040 VCF clone (by MOTM)
