Jumpstart Collection on Xiosynth Novation, lead synth ( by Carlo Castellano space4keys )

YouTube via Space4Keys | December 06, 2010 |

"This is a collection of patches programmed over three years of live gigs and studio sessions. There are three self-explained categories: Leads, Keys, Synth and Basses. Many patches where programmed with live needs such as differents volume levels, EQ and the most important thing every player should do: tweaking controls. The patches sound way better using the modulation and the XY pad of the Xio, the synthesizer becomes alive rather than, as sadly often happens, something static and cold.

Patchwork - Flash Based Modular Synth

"Patchwork is a Flash application for realtime modular sound synthesis. You can connect basic sound generation or modification modules to create either music, effects or utter noisy crap. Although at the moment it has an interface for creating a so-called patch, you will in the future be able to run your creations standalone, which means: in your own site or game."

1981 Soviet Consumer Electronics Catalog

This one spotted by Eric Barbour of METASONIX

"Including an 'Elektronika 003' keyboard, 'Elektronika RITM' drumbox, and two 'Spektr' effect pedals. The videotape recorders were mostly B&W only, and 15 years behind the Japanese VCRs of 1981 in technology.

And it didn't matter anyway---even though these prices were very low, the average Russian could not afford 95% of the contents of this catalog. A small portable TV was 160 roubles, at a time when the average factory worker made 140 roubles/month and a retired pensioner made maybe 60 roubles/month."
