Disney CHAMBERLIN M-1 KEYBOARD MELLOTRON?

via this auction
"For your consideration is this vintage Chamberlin M-1 keyboard. This particular example, serial number 86103, is in very nice all original condition. It works great and sounds amazing, and features a set of original tapes. The Chamberlin is the, better and more advanced, predecessor to the Mellotron which has better sounding recorded samples resulting in a better, more dynamic, instrument. Due to the original premium purchase price, the Chamberlin was produced in very limited quantities (around 150-200), and they have since become one of the rarest and most expensive vintage keyboards. This Chamberlin is being offered with No Reserve, which means it will sell to the highest bidder regardless of price!

This particular one was owned by a Disney composer and was outfitted with 2 sets of original tapes. One set was a small collection of sound effects, and the other set was used for scoring cartoons. It was last serviced about 1 year ago, and is in excellent functional condition.

The set currently installed features:

1) Strings (3 Violins) 2) Cello 3) Bass Clarinet 4) Oboe 5) Trumpet 6) Flute 7) French Horn 8) Alto Sax

While it worked perfectly when tested immediately prior to listing this auction, the lowest note (G) has a tendency to me temperamental. Otherwise, all switches, knobs, keys, dials function perfectly."

clARCk and Kradle POC

"Like a clock, only on an Arc from monome. Silly technical demo app, but it translates hours, minutes, seconds and milliseconds onto the arcs 64 led displays. If you don't count the numbers and read them as clock faces it actually works.

Code coming soon, with v0.2 which will include an alarm set functionality."

"Version 2 demo video, showing some of the interaction and the two views. It's been a nice warm up app for working with the Arc. I think clocks might become my new "hello world".

"Quick proof of concept mockup in Max for an Arc based Newtons Cradle style random sequencer (I guess it's technically not random at all). Using the drum sounds in the OOTB Max Java demo patch for ease. I'm not entirely sure it works as a drum machine, it's too all over the place. But I'll slap on some midi/osc outs and see how it sounds hooked up to a more ambient style sound generator.

This is very much POC, the hit zones are still off by a few all I do is check to see if the left one is within a range, and the right one is within a range, if so bang. I'm also considering adding a 2nd set of rotators which you control with the press, these would have a 1/2 intensity setting to differentiate and would also react with their neighbors, this might add to the speed of the collisions.

The spinning and velocity is a taken from a butchered copy of one of Strettas now deprecated 'primitives'"

"No external drums and no external effects (although I should say that the parts have been tracked through the UA710 preamp with a good amount of tube distorsion). By the way, I'm using the multimode and the arpeggiator to layer these grooves, but nothing is MIDI-sync, it's all live, trying to trigger the grooves in sync with each other. The fact that it works so well is really a tribute to how fun and playable this thing is."
