ROLAND - 2 original 1970's synth badges

via this auction

"These are the badges from the mid to late seventies Roland synth. The square badge was probably off a System 700 cabinet, the skinny badge was possibly from an SH-7. They're plastic, and some of the silver's come off, but they'll come up good with some silver paint (or Texta!)"

Live + Looptastic HD + grüvtron + WIFI MIDI Sync = Fun! V2

YouTube Uploaded by soundtrends on May 13, 2011

"This is a new version of the short preview video showing some WIFI MIDI sync capabilities we are adding to our Looptastic HD (for iPad) and grüvtron (for iPad/ iPhone/iPod touch) apps. It is using the Apple Core MIDI services found in iOS 4.2 or above. Basically we updated the captions to make it more obvious which device the different elements in the mix were coming from.

We will have more videos available as we get closer to shipping these versions.

Please comment and thanks again!"

Strafing The Racetrack.mov

"A quick demonstration of Yves Usson's Voltage Controlled Quadrature LFO. I sent each quadrant into a separate oscillator . The same voltage was split with a "Y" cable and sent to adjacent amplifiers. For instance, if the voltage from zero degree was sent to oscillator one then the same voltage was sent to amplifier two which had the 90 degree oscillator running through it. The voltage from 90 degrees was sent to oscillator two and the same voltage was sent to amplifier three, etc..
This made the quadrature become the delay envelope to the rising/falling portion of the next quadrant pitch only. When the "direction" switch was thrown, the pitch changed direction from rising to descending.
In this demo the voltage control (FM INPUT) was not used. This is a powerful feature which Yves built into the design."

iFS1R v1.2 Wireless iPad Editor Now Available‏‏

"Apple has released iFS1R v1.2 for Yamaha FS1R, a free upgrade for all iFS1R v1.1 users.

iFS1R v1.2 offers:
- a redesigned look & feel for enhanced readability plus some very tiny UI adjustments to make the workflow even better
- parameter default value buttons. In v1.2, if you touch the parameter value label, it resets the label and slider to a default value (ex: Operator Coarse Frequency = 1.00, Operator Fine Frequency = 1.00, etc...) for each parameter... this is the fastest workflow you'll ever get in sound designing!
- iFS1R automatically enables / disables the relevant parameter set based on some parameters values (ex: Wave = Formant enables the formant parameters and disables the other non-formant parameters) to help you master the unit."
