part 1 here

"Now it's time to do a little experiment. I got this box of small solar panel samples. And what I am trying to find out is which ones gives most power. So I sat down in the local forest and did some measurements.

The music is played on my Elka X-1000. The song is called "Der er lang lang vej til Barbados" or "Come Along To Barbados" and was recorded in the mid 1970's in English by Jens Brixtofte and MKT, and later in Danish by Ulla Pia."

Arduino Flex Controller & Arduino Synth

"A controller made to manipulate Pure Data patches using a flex sensor.
The main idea was to control sound via flexion, there are three flex stripes at the center, just using two here, one controls pitch, the other an LFO.
Since it is serial data, you can use this with any other software that allows serial communication.
Copihue"

"Based on the Auduino synth by tinker.it with a few mods.
The code was a little tweeked to get colored noise sounds.
I tried to pull-off a High Pass Filter but I didn't quite get to it in a formal way. Although I was haoppy with the sound.
I added a push button to have a minimum rythm control.
And a switch to change from the more tonal sound to the noise."

A Relic From The Roots Of Electronic Music - Oramics on NPR

Listen On All Things Considered

"The Oramics machine is the creation of Daphne Oram, the first director of the BBC's Radiophonic Workshop and a central figure in the evolution of electronic music.

'Forget everything you've ever known about synthesizers. This machine has no piano keyboard or anything like that. It looks like the sort of thing that a mad inventor would make in his shed.'" [her shed - mad inventor Daphne Oram below left]
