"Download or stream the audio at SoundCloud: http://snd.sc/JOvWMs
A live looping improv jam with a Fender Rhodes, Moog Prodigy, and an Akai MPD26 controlling a custom kit in NI's Kontakt. An iPod Touch is controlling the reverb mix on the Rhodes through Lemur, and the first loop from the Rhodes is recorded in Ableton's looper controlled by a MIDI Fighter 3D. A Novation Launchpad is controlling the recording and playback of loops in Ableton Live. An MXR Wylde Overdrive is connected to the Rhodes. All audio is passed through a PreSonus 1818VSL connected to a Macbook Pro running Ableton Live.
All loops are recorded live."

Filmmmaker Maren Sextro created this portrait of me for Groove.de in May 2012. Together, we visited the flea market and my studio, and spoke about my approach to sound, performance, "circuit bending" (a term I rarely use to describe my own constructions), DIY electronics and self-education.

Experimenting with 2 Doepfer A-199 Spring Reverbs. I keep them outside a case so that I can play them by hand - sort of like a stereo Knas Moisturizer! I found that if you place the tanks against one another, each will ring the other slightly. Here I also placed them on the body of an acoustic bass to see if that would make them pick up addition vibrations (probably didn't make a difference though :) The main sound comes from a Cwejman VM-1 but it is sent into the reverbs at different points in the path, then the feedback outputs of the A-199s are mixed with a uLFO and go back into the VM-1 through the external audio input. The notes and pitches are activated by a Moog EP-2 expression pedal through a Doepfer A-177-2 External Foot Controller module.

1976 OBERHEIM TVS-1 SN 0240
via this auction
"For your consideration is this vintage 1976 Oberheim TVS-1 "Polyphonic" analog synthesizer. This very early production example, serial number 0240, is in very nice all original condition, works perfectly, and sounds incredible. This rare synth includes both original expander voice modules, and comes with the upgraded optional mini-sequencer. This completely intact synth was recently purchased from the original owner, so take advantage of this rare opportunity to buy an un-circulated Oberheim keyboard and become the proud new owner of an incredibly classic analog synth.
Oberheim's first compact, programmable, and polyphonic synth features: (2) SEM modules coupled together, a 37-note keyboard, and an analog sequencer with the famous Oberheim Sample/Hold feature.
With an unbelievably rich and sub-harmonic analog expression, Portishead, Depeche Mode, and Vangelis would all agree that the TVS-1 is an irreplaceable instrument in a completely unique and small (26″ w x 10″ h x 19″ d, 45 lbs.) package.
This synth includes the original cover and original oval power cable."
