New Corsynth Module C103 Frequency Divider / Multiplier

"The C103 Frequency Multiplier / Divider includes two frequency dividers and two frequency multipliers, that generates four new signals which frequencies are one / two octaves higher / lower than the original signal.

The module includes a built-in three channel mixer with to inputs per channel. The first channel makes possible to the user to select between the original signal from the divider and from the multiplier. In the second channel the user can choose between the signal divided or multiplied by two. In the third channel the options are, the signal divided or multiplied by four. With this set-up up to eight different mixer options are possible which creates a wide range of sonic possibilities."

"I'm going to be doing the last performance of the summer at SPIN nightclub in San Diego on Aug 4th. A pounding 136bpm Acid Techno stomper of a set, with psychodelic accents, vocal samples from Katy Rokit and some of my favorite vinyl, and a whole lot more. The set is about 1.5 hours at this point, using only the machinedrum, octatrack and a 303 with some Boss pedals. No loops.. this is a pure live hardware performance. The next time I'm likely to play out is when @DanielTroberg comes out from Sweden again. Then we are going back to back, battle style! I'll update you with a recording after the show! -shagghie / highsage"

During the first half of 3rd year at ECAL, I made an installation project based on the visualization of sound. I am interested in how the spectator is immersed in the interactive piece in the presence of this element. I decided to continue my research on the themes of sound and atmosphere.

Sona is an experimental game on iPad inspired by the classic "Simon game." The universe is composed of enigmatic sound paintings that the spectator must solve through simple interactions. The game is played with headphones to focus attention on the sound.

This project allowed me to study in detail the acoustic phenomena and how we store and perceive sounds. The immersion and sound have become essential elements for me in an interactive project.

Wavetek Oscillator Demo

"The Wavetek 132 is a 1980's vintage test oscillator featuring voltage control (not 1V/Octave!), 3 waveforms, and digital and analogue noise generators that create "pseudo random" patterns, selectable via front panel switches. The extensive controls allow one to "play" the oscillator live. In this piece, I've used a General Radio sine wave oscillator to modulate the Wavetek, fed the signal to a Synthesizers.com mulit-mode filter, then through a Lexicon reverb. For the last third of the piece, I swapped the modulation source to a Doepfer MAQ16/3 sequencer.

"Roland MV-30 Sequencer Synthesizer. This is an interesting desktop unit with a nice sequencer. The synth engine is in the U110/U220 style, but with the addition of a TVF filter. You can even use U110 PCM expansion cards, as well as the Roland D70 cards."
