Demo sh-xpand-gp8

"a quick demo of the sh09 (the berlin school-ish style SEQ ) processed by a Roland GP8 guitar processor that i find nice on synths especially vintage mono synths. pad provided by the Oberheim Xpander.
No eq no comp ( except for the sh through the gp8 provides comp>phaser>eq>delay>chorus)
some reverb added to both tracks."

"Just got this Korg ESX electribe today! Thought I'd give it a spin and
see how it worked. I haven't dabbled in the Stretch parts or Slice...
but I'm sure I'll pick that stuff up soon.

Totally an easy way to write music, I'm enjoying it :)"

Switched On Modular Meet-Up & Birthday Party!!!

via Switched On Facebook

"Switched On is turning 4 years old!!! The years have been flying by and we have had some excellent times.

To celebrate we want to host a synth meet-up for a night of patching, talking synths, tunes, and good times.

We invite you to bring your modular synth of any format or era. Don't worry if you don't have a modular. Anyone and any synth is welcome! Interesting effects, controllers, or computer aided workflows are also encouraged.

We are going to bring some of our personal setups and items from the store as well.

If you are a manufacturer, maker, do it your selfer, hacker, bender, tweaker: Please bring something you have created!

NOTE: We will have some keyboard stands, tables, headphones, and mixers BUT please bring what you can to setup. Headphones are required!

Show off a patch, talk technique, talk about your favorite new module, check out some other new modules, enjoy a fine beverage or 4, and get to know other people and devices.

This will all be happening at 2400 E. Caesar Chavez in the building with the sweet "Nice n' Clean" mural with a lowrider on it. It is also directly across from Counter Culture Cafe.

We are going to get a keg of beer. Type TBA.

"The pedal works fantastically, the only "issues"are the missing rubber feet and the peeled up sticker on the bottom (seen in the pictures) this pedal is also special because it was modified by Moog music. An extra input jack was added next to the envelope out to override the trigger sent to the envelope follower by the audio input. This modified trigger input take a +5volt gate, so it will work nicely with your modular gear. Usage example: put a sustained sound(synth, vocal, guitar etc) into the audio in, plug the gate out from an analog sequencer into the modified trigger in, take the audio out to your mixer or amplifier, when the sequencer is started adjust the controls to your liking and the filter will rhythmically pulse in time with the sequencer adding interesting dynamic to the original sustained sound..."

Benjolin Exploration #1

Published on Feb 27, 2014 Drone Star·1 video

"This is an early exploration with the Epoch Modular production version of Rob Hordijk's Bejonlin. Other modules involved include: Make Noise Wogglebug, Make Noise Maths, Intellijel Planar, and Snazzy FX Wow & Flutter. Valhalla Room is the reverb. Headphones are highly suggested so you are able to get the full effect of the stereo movement.

Enjoy and thanks for watching!

This is the first video for this channel, subscribe for many more. :)"

Mutable Instruments Shruthi, MINT, Mission Analog Filter

"This Shruthi has the 4-pole “Mission” filter, which is a real analog multi-mode filter that’s surprisingly flexible and sounds fantastic. Other non-standard extras on this synth include a rear-panel volume pot and a blue OLED display. The 6 left LEDs are blue and the 2 right LEDs are white, and they’ve bet set low in the chassis and dimmed so that their brightness is comfortable and compatable with the display. It’s beautiful. Sonically, it reminds me quite a bit of the PPG Wave with its crisp digital sounds, and the analog Mission filter makes it creamy and beautiful. It’s got a punchy presence that virtual analogs can’t quite nail. The only reason I’m selling it is that I just got an Ambika, which is essentially a 6-voice version with the same rich sound..."
