"The SH-5 is a classic yet very advanced monophonic synthesizer rivalled mainly by its successor, the SH-7. The SH-5 has just about two of everything. There are two analog VCOs with triangle, ramp, square and pulse waveforms, two LFO's, two filters, two VCA's, white and pink noise generators, and more."

"This Oberheim Xpander is in excellent working condition and very good cosmetic condition. It sounds amazing and all tuning procedures pass, as shown in the photos. There are a few minor scratches here and there as also shown in the pics. It was inspected by a professional vintage synth technician earlier this year. It's not apparent in the photos, but the LCD screens are much clearer in person and very easy to read."

Update: auction link fixed.

"For sale is an AKAI AX60 polysynth keyboard from the 1980s in good condition. Plays well and looks great with only minor signs of wear due to age. As noted in the condition description, 2 knobs needs to be replaced but are still fully functional."

"Here's some random camera action ... tried to move around and get lots of the patch in spread across a large system as none of it was close together. But at the core is the Noise Engineering Tonnetz Sequent making different chord intervals. Good fun."

The Synth Sounds of Stranger Things - Two Tutorials on Creating the Theme

Published on Aug 30, 2016 Reverb.com

This is a bit of a double post. In the video above Reverb.com goes over how to create the theme to Stranger Things using hardware synths. If you click here, you'll get a write-up from Ask.Audio on how to create the track on U-he's Diva. The completed track there is impressive.

BTW, If you have Netflix and haven't seen Stranger Things yet, go watch it. If you don't have Netflix, Stranger Things just might be worth picking it up for a month. It is that good and so is the theme music. It's throwback to soundtracks of the 70s and early 80s, most notably John Carpenter.

The following is the description for the video by Reverb above.

"Netflix's 'Stranger Things' has seemingly taken over popular culture, in no small part thanks to it's moody, synthesized soundtrack by Kyle Dixon and Michael Stein. In this video, Justin DeLay attempts to take us in to the Analog Upside-Down and show you how to approximate some of these fantastic sounds on analog synthesizers of the day.
