"Cosmetic condition: MINT. This is like your grandma's 1964 impala that she only pulled out on weekends to cruise.

Working condition: Works amazingly well for the age, but would benefit from servicing. Some of the caps on the draw bars are lightly dirty. Keys are not level; at the worst, they're about 3/16" off from each other (see photos). The keys, from octave to octave, are slightly off from each other."

"The condition is excellent for the age. There are some minor scuffs around the wooden edges which are typical for a synth of this age.

As far as I can tell everything is working to the best of my knowledge. That is to say all 5 voices are in tune and play accordingly. Both oscillators and all wave shapes are working on all voices. The envelopes generators fire correctly. LFO is good too.
Filters sound juicy and gorgeous. The keyboard is in excellent shape. The middle c note occasionally double triggers but this fixes itself after a few presses (the contactt likely has dust on it and needs a clean). All the buttons and pots are working correctly. The output sound is clean. Memory storage is good.

This unit had Midi installed which makes it a 3.2. The battery was replaced recently.
The internals are in excellent condition with little sign of corrosion or wear."

"Listing is for a Roland TR-808 Drum Machine with CHD MIDI retrofit! I used this solely as a MIDI triggered sound source as DIN sync does not appear to function and when syncing the internal sequencer to MIDI, it syncs fine when in "pattern write" mode but is slightly delayed when in 'manual play' mode. For these reasons, the purchaser should plan on using it as a MIDI triggered unit for getting authentic TR-808 sounds. Samples, VST instruments, clones, etc. cannot touch the sound of the real thing."

Birth Cry of a TTSH

Published on Jul 31, 2016 Little Bitchard

"Got everything electronics related of my TTSH (a Arp 2600 clone) sorted out today: Time for a quick birth cry jam :)

Patch recipe: MC-202 audio routed to envelope follower & then to vcf cutoff, sequence controlling osc 1. Osc 2 for bass, osc 3 for arpeggiated chord (pitch control by internal clock) and white noise for hihat. Vcf resonance for kick drum. Gate from MC-202 triggering vca.

Recorded with the internal mic of the camera (Olympus EPL1), proper amounts of room reverb and noise from outdoors. Some post-process limiting & eq applied."

Arp 1601 sequencer clone as oscillator

Published on Oct 23, 2016 Little Bitchard

"Test-driving my Arp 1601 sequencer clone as a oscillator. Square wave output of Osc1 on my TTSH serving as the clock source. 1601 CV out A hooked up to TTSH mixer input.

Thanks to Lumeet for suggesting this idea how to (mis-)use the 1601! :)

Check the build details of my TTSH here: https://amazingdiy.wordpress.com/proj..."

TTSH & 1601 sunday jam

Published on Dec 4, 2016 Little Bitchard

"A little analog synth jam using my TTSH & 1601 sequencer. Osc 1 pitch is controlled from MIDI keyboard, while Oscs 2 & 3 are sequenced with 1601 running in 2x8 mode. No extra VCA for Osc1 so I'm just fading it in by hand here and there :)"

TTSH Four-To-The-Floor

Published on Oct 9, 2016

"Plain 'TTSH only' patch, demoing the tweakable params. I'm using the internal clock to drive everything..

Sorry for the low volume, just shot this on the fly with my mobile with no post-processing :)"
